Seventeen fans slam HYBE for selling 'Ode to You' Seoul concert DVD, fear K-pop band will go GFRIEND's way
Seventeen fans are taking it to the social media platforms to express concerns over the treatment of the band as they slam HYBE for selling a two-year-old concert DVD. While 'Ode To You' Seoul concert's DVD has gotten mixed response with some fans excited to relive the moment while others have asked Carats not to purchase 'old content'.
On top of that, Seventeen fans are pointing out that the Pledis Entertainment self-composed supergroup may face a similar fate as Source Music's GFRIEND if the K-pop act stays with HYBE. Seventeen fans have pointed out a number of things that the group has been 'missing out' since the acquirement.

Seventeen fans slam HYBE
Seventeen has announced a comeback for June 2021 with mini-album 'Your Choice.' The group has also released a trailer for 'Power of Love' for the current year where the group will be exploring various emotions through their individual and group projects. While a comeback is almost at the door, fans have slammed HYBE's decision to churn out a two-year-old concert now. A fan outraged, "Ode to you 2019 VOD? all of a sudden? Man it’s 2021 already!!!! Hybe run out of money to pay the debts they made the moment the bought the biggest share in Pledis?" While another one wrote, "We have some amazing and nice carats who has the vids and links for the past seventeen concerts just ask them if you wanna watch, pls don't fall for that "ode to you concert" hybe was trying to pull."

Carats fear Seventeen may face the same fate as GFRIEND
In a recent announcement on Weverse, Seventeen fans have got to know that Seventeen Japan Official site will be changed from Lawson Entertainment Inc. to HYBE SOLUTIONS JAPAN Co from June 1. Seventeen is known to have the strongest fanbase in Japan where their single 'Fallin' Flower' in 2020 which not only took the top spot on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart but also sold more than 400,000 copies in its first week of release, securing the first position on Billboard's Japan Hot 100 Chart. With HYBE taking over, fans have expressed their concerns like a fan noted, "Seventeen and Lawson was doing good job already in promoting in Japan from albums, merch, cafes, tours and fanmeetings. Why does hybe suddenly want to make that their business too??"
