Seventeen Mingyu is BACK and how! The K-pop star will release a digital single with Wonwoo which will feature South Korean singer Lee Hi. The single titled 'Bittersweet' will be released at the end of May and reportedly be the beginning of 'Power of Love' project. The self-composing K-pop act will also release their new mini-comeback album 'Your Choice' on June 18. 

In an earlier press release, Seventeen talked about their elaborate plans of 'Power of Love' project for 2021 with a concept teaser release. The group revealed that the concept trailer intends to spotlight "the main theme of “Love” using related key phrases interposed throughout."  With 'Power of Love’ project, Seventeen will delve deep into the realm of various emotions and explore throughout the year, various moments and forms of love that can be encountered in our daily lives."

Who is Lee Hi?

Lee Hi aka Lee Ha-yi, the South Korean singer debuted in 2012 with the track '1, 2, 3, 4'. The singer is currently signed with AOMG has released three albums exploring a number of genres including K-pop, R&B, Soul and more. The 'First Love' crooner made it to the social media buzz with her numerous nods for the song 'Holo' in the R&B Track Of The Year category. She won a trophy for the song at Korean Hip-hop Awards while collecting a number of nods including Seoul Music Awards, Mnet Asia Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards and more.



 

 

Seventeen Wonwoo spoils 'Bittersweet' for fans

Wonwoo and Mingyu were on Weverse interacting with fans when the former chose to drop a number of teasing hints of the song. Wonwoo shared a number of 'Bittersweet' pairs asking "Americano with chocolate? what do you think about it?" He added, "Then what about red ginseng candy?" The Seventeen singer teased, "Sugar in bitter ginseng tea? I should stop." At this point, Mingyu decided to step in. The K-pop star wrote, 'Please stop now' and added, "You gave too many spoilers Jeon Wonwoo!" Wonwoo replied, 'I won’t do it anymore.'



 

 

 



 

 

Seventeen fans have always appreciated the kind of artists that the K-pop act chooses to collaborate with. Earlier, the K-pop act collaborated with Korean-American singer Ailee. With the new digital collab single dropping, carats have taken to social media to share their anticipation about the single. A fan wrote, "This teaser really makes me proud, their voices can't wait for your digital single guys." Another fan chimed in saying, "Never thought we gonna get this. LIKE BEFORE THIS WE JUST SAID THAT WE WANT WONWOO & MINGYU TO MAKE AN MV OR DO VIDEO EDITING TOGETHER. BUT YOOO!!!
