What's reality TV without some relationship drama? Netflix's 'Selling Sunset' knows the answer to that question and therefore, will focus on Chrishell Stause and Justin Hartley's struggle in their marriage this season. Justin, unfortunately, will not be a part of the show and there's very little known about how explicitly the couple's marital issues will be shown.

Like most celebrities, these two had to go through a much-publicized divorce. Justin filed the paperwork in November 2019 and called 'irreconcilable differences' as a primary reason to part ways. That the couple has had an amicable split was evident in the way they have continued to acknowledge each other on social media. Justin had shared a now-deleted post where he wished Chrishell on her birthday.

The meet

They began dating in January of 2014, were engaged in 2016, and married a year later. They met on the sets of 'All My Children,' in which Chrishell was working with Justin's ex-wife Lindsay Hartley.

Did you know?

Chrishell flew to New York to find Justin waiting for her with a cheeseboard and a bottle of wine. "If you know me, that is like my love language. ... That’s the sixth on the love languages, if you didn’t know," she told US Weekly. Their courtship was filled with sweet moments that most Hallmark movies are known for and yet, they didn't get their happily ever after.

Why did they split?

The exact cause of their split is unknown and will continue to be a mystery because both of them have either dodged that question or have simply chosen to keep quiet about the matter. To be honest, it's best that way. Chrishell seems somewhat shaken by the matter and is not here for how the divorce storyline will be playing out on the show. “I obviously really, truly love him, and it’s unfortunate the way that everything happened and the timing of everything,” she told ET.

Who is Justin?

Justin is known for his role as Kevin Pearson in 'This Is Us', prior to which he was popular as Adam Newman in 'The Young and the Restless'. But his acting skills are not limited to just drama-centric roles, as he loves to be the knight in shining armor. In 'Smallville,' he played Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow to Tom Welling's Clark Kent / Superman. He also starred in films such as 'A Bad Mom's Christmas', and 'Another Time'. Justin is not only fond of portraying interesting characters onscreen but is also deeply invested in what goes into making them. He directed one episode each of 'This Is Us' and 'Smallville'.
