Selena Gomez fuels 'SG3 IS COMING' theories after Instagram hint, fans say ‘she’s insane for teasing already'

Popstar Selena Gomez is one of the most celebrated artists all over the world and thanks to her massive fan following, her music is always making the headlines. The multiple-award-winning crooner had released her third studio album in January 2020 followed by her first Spanish effort 'Revelación' in March 2021.

Now, it seems the 28-year-old songstress is all set to gift her fans a brand new album after she teased the same on one of her Instagram stories. Before anyone could react to it, ‘SG3 IS COMING’ was trending worldwide sending her fans into a frenzy. ‘Selena is coming’ was another hashtag used by the social media users as they erupted with joy on Twitter. For the unversed, Selena Gomez’s third studio album ‘Rare’ was labeled as “SG2” and therefore, “SG3” hints at her fourth solo project.

Is Selena Gomez dropping a new studio album?

Taking it to her official Instagram account, the former Billboard Woman of the Year teased her 226 million followers with a new album after she posted a photo of her wearing a colorful band which read “SG3” in one of her IG stories. This sent Twitter into a meltdown. However, this is not the first time when Selena has teased the same. If we go back to August 2020, the talented crooner had apparently dropped a few easter eggs in the official video of K-pop girl group Blackpink’s hit single 'Ice Cream'. A lot of social media users had then grabbed screenshots from the video claiming Selena was dropping her fourth album soon. The viral screenshots showed the ‘Good For You’ hitmaker dancing in front of colorful murals while the artwork in the background read ‘SG3’.

‘She’s insane for teasing already’

Selena was all over the Internet minutes after she teased about her new studio project. A lot of social media users thronged to Twitter as they shared their excitement about the same. One fan posted, “I feel like this is the era Selena really wanted for 2017 before her health got in the way SG3 IS COMING.” Another said, “WE WILL GET THIS SELENA FOR SG3 THE WORLD IS NOT READY FOR THIS COLLAPSE.” One user tweeted, “I feel like Selena’s now gotten a good break from mainstream pop radio, the lead will definitely be sent to radios and radio will embrace it hard I can feel it in my bones SG3 IS COMING.”
 
The next one asserted, “SELENA DESERVES ALL THE SUCCESS IN THE WORLD, SO EXCITED FOR NEW MUSIC, SHE'S INSANE FOR TEASING ALREADY. SG3 IS COMING”  while another chimed in and said, “I feel like THE SELENA GOMEZ is finally back and this new era will be EVERYTHING. SG3 IS COMING.” One surprised individual shared, “I woke up to selena teasing a new album wtf? i wasn't expecting her to do it so soon but im not complaining at all.”
