'SEAL Team' Season 3 Episode 8: Jason Hayes is no more Mr. Denial and fans marvel at David Boreanaz's 'gut-wrenching' performance

Episode 8 of 'SEAL Team' finally gets the cat out of the bag. Showering compliments on David Boreanaz, fans couldn't help but rave about the superb ending and his marvelous performance.

Get set for an emotional ride as the latest episode of 'SEAL Team' not only packs a punch but also makes hearts bleed. As Jason goes under the knife, Ray takes over as Bravo 1 and leads the team on a mission to rescue a marine pilot who was shot down in enemy territory.

After a successful surgery, physiologist Natalie brings Jason back to his house and tells him to get proper rest. Just as he lies down, Emma calls again to ask about the records. Jason, gets out of bed in pain, without telling her anything about the surgery and has a panic attack at the storage locker when he stumbles upon a book from Alana.

Luckily, Natalie calls him right at that moment and gets him back in the comfort of his abode. It is but obvious that his stunt will make her livid. She angrily asks: "Why didn't you call me? Most officers forget the one thing they need to do. How to ask for help." It is here that we see Jason waver a bit as he finally lets his bottled feelings out and says, "When I see the future, I don't see anything. It is all empty. The past is haunting me. I don't know how to stop it. I need help. Can you help me?" After all, there's no surgery to heal the mind.

Showering compliments on actor David Boreanaz, fans couldn't help but rave about the superb ending and his marvelous performance. "What a powerful ending! Fantastic episode," one fan wrote and another said, "This was a heartbreaking moment. It was also so powerful to watch Jason ask for help." Another fan was happy with Jason's recovery. "Tonight’s episode was so amazing like always and emotional! so happy Jason’s surgery went ok and that he’s getting help!"

One viewer went on to post, "It’s heartbreaking to watch Jason go through this but he will be stronger in the end. @David_Boreanaz and @SEALTeamCBS are doing an amazing job showing what our military and veterans experience. It does bring back painful memories but these issues need to be addressed."

Many even called his acting skills "believable" and "gut-wrenching". "David Boreanaz absolutely killing it as Jason Hayes, on another level," one tweet read and another said, "Amazing performance. Utterly gut-wrenching and believable." While the episode had the right mix of heart and soul, the big question of the hour is: will Natalie's help really solve Jason's troubles? The answer seems to be in the affirmative but only time will tell when the next episode airs on Wednesday, December 4 on CBS.
