'SEAL Team' Season 3 Episode 7: Fans desperately want Mandy to say yes to Jason's road trip invitation
Jason Hayes needs to open up. In the latest episode titled 'The Ones You Can't See', Jason has a severe hip injury while working out and when his doctor said it might be irreparable, he couldn't take it. He desperately needs a break to heal his wounds, both internal and external. Unwilling to back down, he just wants to get back to duty.
"The human body wasn't built to sustain your level of activity forever", his doctor tells Jason. Later, Natalie meets him and says, "The thought of being stood down scares you more than going home." These remarks play on his mind.
At home, he puts up pictures of fellow soldiers in a bookshelf but as the voices in his head grow louder, he smashes all the photographs and memorabilia in his room. Later, Jason tries to calm down and calls Mandy for a drink. He asks her to accompany him on a road trip. Mandy asks him, "You are inviting me on a road trip. That's a little odd. Why, are you free next week?" Jason then tells her he is free not just next week but for the next two months for his hip surgery.
Will Mandy say yes? She might be the only one who can help him out since he isn't willing to open up to the physiologist or any other team members.
"Did Jason just ask Mandy on a date?" one fan wrote and another posted, "Say yes Mandy seriously." Another tweet read: "I thought Jason was going to ask Mandy to help clean up his freak out the mess." Seeking out Mandy to accept Jason's invitation, a few fans literally seem to be begging her to say yes. "Mandy, don’t look too far into it. You are literally all he has right now #SEALTeam," one Twitter user wrote and another posted, "I say, Go on the Road Trip, Mandy."
"Come on Jason Hayes, you can't keep your feelings bottled in and break down bookcases that you might need hip surgery. You need to talk to somebody about this. Talk to Mandy Ellis," one viewer penned down and another posted, "Whoa Jason and Mandy #SEALTeam I like them together. They understand each other."
Many fans even hope to see their bond escalate to the next level. "I love that Jason reached out to Mandy! She has always been one of his go-to people! LOVE their friendship!!!" one tweet read and another said, "Jason and Mandy. Sooner or later the work wife going to become the real one #SEALTeam."
The next episode titled 'Danger Crossing' might reveal whether or not Jason finds a friend and confidante in Mandy. Episode eight airs on CBS next Wednesday, November 27.
