Spoilers for 'Schitt's Creek' Season 7 Episode 13 'Start Spreading the News'

After Johnny Rose's (Eugene Levy) pitch to the New York firm goes successful — one way or the other — the group returns to Schitt's Creek to give the news. As Johnny, Stevie Budd (Emily Hampshire) and Roland Schitt (Chris Elliott) share the news with their family back home, it hints at new beginnings — and the end of an era — for many of the characters.

In its final season, 'Schitt's Creek' is looking at giving all of its protagonists new horizons to explore. With Johnny's deal going through successfully, he will be most likely to move with his business. Our homegirl Stevie is likely to assist Johnny to expand the Rosebud Motel franchise along with Roland.

According to the official synopsis of the next episode 'Start Spreading the News', "As Johnny celebrates his big win, Moira receives some unexpected news that alters their plans. David makes a decision about where he wants to live, and it comes as a surprise to the family. Alexis and Twyla engage in an emotional gift exchange."

There is some "unexpected news" in store for Moira Rose (Catherine O'Hara). In the previous episode, all prospects of the revival of Sunrise Bay are dead as the producers choose to not abide by the new conditions that she had for them. If there is any unexpected news, could the producers of Sunrise Bay be the source?

In all likelihood, we are expecting Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) to leave Schitt's Creek as the synopsis suggests that she has a tough, emotional gift exchange with perhaps her closest friend here, Twyla Sands (Sarah Levy). The two have shared a close relationship ever since Alexis moved here and their friendship only deepened with time.

After the upcoming episode, the beloved series will bid farewell to millions of fans next week with its finale. 'Schitt's Creek' had humble beginnings but through the six seasons, we followed the Rose family and their shenanigans as our own and it will be a sad goodbye, but one that is very deserving.

The finale episode of 'Schitt's Creek' will air on April 7, 2020, on Pop TV at 9/8c followed by an hour-long special behind-the-scenes documentary 'Best Wishes' will air immediately after.
