The article contains major spoilers for Season 6 Episode 5 of 'Schitt's Creek' titled 'The Premiere'

With the trailer for Moira Rose's (Catherine O'Hara) movie is out, residents of Schitt's Creek cannot contain their excitement any longer and a flamboyant lady like Moira deserves her very own premiere.

So Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) makes an elaborate plan for an exciting premiere night - oh wait, it's just a small viewing party at first. But the whole town is invited, and why not! Moira is the town's star after all. There are, however, no prizes for guessing that the premiere does not go as per Alexis' elaborate plan ensuing in chaos that could, in another world, mean any publicity is good publicity.

In the meanwhile, David Rose (Dan Levy) must look after Patrick Brewer(Noah Reid) after a wisdom teeth renewal. Under anesthesia and pain killers, Patrick lets a little lose and begins talking about David's worst nightmare - kids! Might we add just how adorable this relationship gets with each episode? Patrick's drug-induced banter has David nervous and on-edge thinking that Patrick is suppressing his true expectations from a marriage because of David. But that is far from the truth.

Speaking of truth, Stevie Budd (Emily Hampshire) discovers that life outside of the Rosebud Motel and Schitt's Creek might not be for her, as she yearns to return to the motel. Set to meet Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy) for business rendezvous, Stevie is sure that he will be asking her to return to the motel but is caught by surprise when Johnny expresses that he instead wishes to buy her out. Even if everything had failed her, Stevie knew she had the motel to go back to, but Johnny's offer would mean that she could no longer fall back on the motel.

But her concerns go beyond that. Having lived all her life in Schitt's Creek, Stevie thought she should venture out into the world and find out what it has to offer to her. And now that she has seen what the world has to offer, she doesn't want to be there - she wants to return to her life in Schitt's Creek and behind the reception desk at the motel. As the episode points out, sometimes, in order to know what you want, you need to know what you don't want. Stevie derives her confidence wrapped in several layers of comfort zone, and without that, we see her flounder. But back at the motel, Stevie is in her element.

'Schitt's Creek airs on Pop TV on Tuesdays at 9/ 8c.
