'Say Yes To The Dress': Can Maddison get her biological and adopted mother on board to find the perfect dress?
Maddison Gemmil was not like every other bride that one gets to see on the show, and it was all thanks to her unique family dynamic. Maddison was adopted by Dolores Gemmil when she was small as she could not have children of her own. However, Dolores decided to stay in touch with Tyler, Maddison's biological mother.
Tyler got pregnant when she was 16 and knew that Dolores would be able to take care of Maddison better than her. Seeing Maddison as her sister, Tyler has always tried to be there for her. Looking at how both of them have played an important role in her life, Maddison wanted to make sure she had both of them by her side. To make the day extra special, Tyler decided to pay for Maddison's wedding dress. While Maddison loved this gesture, she was worried if her adopted and biological mothers would get along. Having different tastes in fashion, Maddison feared she would have a hard time getting both of them on board.
Tyler and Maddison's style managed, but Dolores wanted to see her daughter in a traditional dress. Fearing she would disappoint one of them, Maddison decided to listen to her heart and try the dress she had her eyes on even before she reached the store. Unfortunately, it was a bit over budget for Tyler, but she allowed Maddison to try whatever she liked. Maddison quickly fell in love with the dress but knew she wanted to try others. This led her to try the second dress that Dolores thought looked traditional and better on her. To top it all, Maddison had always wanted to have a cape on her wedding dress. Thinking there might be a chance to reinvent the dress, she tried the dress on with a cape.
After a few adjustments, she finally found the right way to use the cape in her dress and instantly fell in love with it. Luckily for her, Tyler and Dolores fell in love with the dress as well. They thought it was the perfect blend of traditional attire along with the edgy look that Maddison had been looking for.
Without wasting much time, Maddison said yes to the dress and admitted that she was looking forward to walking down the aisle in the dress.
