PARIS, FRANCE: 'Savoring Paris' premiered on Hallmark on June 8, 2024. The film is an introspective journey into the morose life of Ella (Bethany Joy Lenz) who is going through a mid-life crisis as she decides to take a trip to Paris trying to find herself.
In Paris, she forms a relationship with two men, Gaston (Ben Wiggins) and Serge (Stanley Weber). Though she initially dates, Gaston, she finds herself more connected to Serge who offers her a job and also starts designing a wine bar next to his cheese shop.
As Ella bonds with Serge, she now comes face-to-face with the realities of having to return when her friend Clotilde (Manon Azem) suggests she move to Paris - a decision she finds hard with her overbearing and practical mother always in her ear reminding her about the practicalities of life.

Ella and Gaston decide to stay friends in 'Savoring Paris'
Ella and Gaston have a conversation about their relationship and decide to stay friends after breaking up. They realize that they like each other but do not see the relationship being a long-term one.
Gaston, who is characteristically already dating someone else, also agrees to cover Serge and her bar's inauguration and promises to write a positive review about it.
Ella has realized that Serge is the only one she can be in a long-term relationship with, although she isn't ready to take that step just yet.
Ella decides to return with her mother
Ella confronts her mother about wanting to live free and her mother apologizes about her behavior too. But with her relationships not working out, she sees no future in Paris and ultimately decides to return.
She gives a speech on the day of the inauguration and talks about the beautiful time she has had in Paris. The next day, when she is about to leave, Serge sends her a box of cheese for her flight.
She asks her mother to take the flight alone as she rushes to meet Serge.
Ella stays in Paris with Serge
The box of cheese made Ella realize that the two most important things in her life are both in Paris. First is the cheese that she loves to make and second is Serge, with whom she is deeply in love.
She goes back to Serge and tells him that she wants to stay there with him despite this being an impractical decision. This completes an arc for Ella who starts the movie as someone who is lost in her mid-life crisis.
They live together and run La Cheddar-ie, living the most beautiful life that Ella can create for herself.
