Who is Sarah Hyland?
The American actress and singer was born in Manhattan, New York. Hyland has been acting since her first role as Howard Stern's daughter in the film 'Private Parts' in 1997. She went on to portray roles such as Molly in the 1999 television film 'Annie' and Maddie Healy in 'Lipstick Jungle' on NBC. She also appeared on Broadway as the young Jacqueline Bouvier in 'Grey Gardens' in 2006.
In 2011, Hyland co-starred in the Disney Channel's movie 'Geek Charming'. She also made her debut with the single 'Met At a Party' with Jordan McGraw in 2019. It was released on August 9, 2019, via Republic Records. In 2019, Hyland partnered with Olay for a skin product campaign. What is Sarah Hyland's net worth?
As per Celebrity Net Worth, the 'Modern Family' star is worth $14 million. It is no surprise that most of Hyland's fortune came from 11 seasons of 'Modern Family'. Back in the day, Hyland and the rest of the children on 'Modern Family' negotiated salary increases from $15,000–$25,000 to $70,000 per episode, with an additional $10,000 thrown in per season. Then in 2017, Deadline reported that their salaries rose to over $100,000 per episode for seasons 9 and 10. To give you an idea of what that looks like, season 10 had 22 episodes, which means Hyland earned $2,200,000 that year alone.
However, the actress didn't grow up rich. During her interview with Complex, she revealed, "All the kids in my elementary school thought I was super rich and chased me around the playground asking me for money." Talking about her father, she said, "He had to travel the country to do any type of regional theater to put food on the table."
While 'Modern Family' has been a huge hit, the actress has made money through her other acting gigs too. She explained to Vanity Fair, "You're in everyone's homes every week as this character ... and then they start to really define you as this character." Expressing her views on how she wanted to do other roles outside the popular show, she continued, "I didn't want to get pigeonholed."
Although, she has been pretty financially stable for a while now, the actress worries if she'll maintain this consistency forever. "My dad ... always said that what you want is that one show that goes on for years, that gives you a steady paycheck," she told Vogue. Despite years of steady paychecks, Hyland apparently still worries about her financial future. She admitted to Cosmopolitan, "The thing as an actor is it's like, 'Will I have a job tomorrow? ... I'm never going to work again. I'm going to have to sell everything and live out of a shoebox."

Hyland and fiance Wells Adams recently purchased a $3.85 million home in Los Angeles with a touch of urbane style. It contains five bedrooms and seven baths, including a large master with a vaulted ceiling. Details include hardwood floors, a quartet of fireplaces, whitewashed brick, and judicious use of LED accent lighting. The home has a motif—the chevron pattern—and it pops up frequently in the ceiling, accent panels, a fireplace surround, and elsewhere.
'Love Island' Season 4 premieres on July 19 on Peacock.
