SAG Awards 2022 Full Winners List: 'CODA' wins top prize, 'Squid Game' stuns in TV category

'CODA' turned out to be the biggest winner at the SAG Awards and won the Best Film ensemble while 'Squid Game' dominated the TV categories

The race to the Oscars has finally begun as the winners of the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced on Sunday, February 27. 'CODA', 'Succession', and 'Ted Lasso' emerged as the biggest winners of the night as they took home the trophies in the ensemble categories. 

'CODA' won the award for the Best Film Ensemble and edged out other nominees like 'Belfast', 'House of Gucci', 'Don't Look Up', and 'King Richard' in the category. In the acting categories, Will Smith won the Best Actor trophy for 'King Richard' while Jessica Chastain took home the Best Actress accolade for 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye'.

'Squid Game' is FIRST foreign-language show to win at SAG Awards, fans call it 'a personal win'

Troy Kotsur and Ariana DeBosee won in the Supporting Actor categories. Both actors entered history books with their respective wins. Kotsur became the first deaf actor to win an individual SAG Award while DeBose became the first openly Queer actor to win a SAG Award. 

On the TV side, 'Succession' won the Best TV Ensemble (Drama Series) and 'Ted Lasso' picked up the trophy for Best TV Ensemble (Comedy Series). 'Squid Game' stars Lee Jung-Jae and Jung Ho-Yeon stunned everyone by winning acting trophies at the event. Lee won the Best Actor in a Drama Series accolade while Jung took home the Best Actress in a Drama Series trophy.
