Spoiler alert for 'Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones' Episode 2 'Siren Song'

If the season opener was all about the mysterious death of the Cherry Falls Jane Does (Siobhan Williams and Emily Alyn Lind), Episode 2 strongly implies that Elise's father, Peter (Ryan Kwanten), was the murderer.

In Episode 1, 'The Singing Bones', it was about Juliette Lewis' Harper activating the cold case of the dead sisters while Peter was serving time in jail for child abandonment. However, as the mystery gets deeper, all evidence points to Peter as the murderer.

'Siren Song' gives a bit more background about the murder. The Jane Doe sisters are introduced working on their new song and Peter who happens to pass by the woods sees them by the lake singing.

The trio eventually gets talking and we see one of the sisters invite Peter for a swim. The next frame shifts to Peter released from prison and heading to Elise (Jordan Alexander) to see his daughter, unaware the case was reopened.

The police come searching for Peter who escapes and heads to the lake where the murder took place. He recollects the sisters running and he was hot on their trail.

If this was the first theory, the second was that one of the sisters was shot between the heart and the rib. Also supporting the theory that he killed them was the fact that he was shown carrying a loaded gun with him before meeting the sisters.

For now, the working theory is that Peter was the one who killed the sisters, however, there was also the mysterious photographer who was clicking images of the trio swimming that seems to add a twist to the tale. Only time will tell if Peter was indeed the killer.

What are your thoughts on who killed the Cherry Falls Jane Does?
