'Run' Episode 3: Archie Panjabi marks her entry as Ruby runs into Billy's Fiona
'Run' Episode 3 will see Archie Panjabi get introduced as Fiona and from the looks of it, Ruby Richardson (Merritt Wever) seems to love this woman already. In the promo released by HBO, we see Ruby and Fiona run out of the Chicago train station and away to some alleyway somewhere and the two of them burst out laughing. From the promo, we are not sure if Ruby is aware of Fiona's identity or if she just happened to be the person who randomly helped her out of a tough situation.
Last we saw, Ruby had run out of the train after a huge confrontation between herself and Billy Johnson (Domhnall Gleeson) about how he brings out the worst in her. So is it possible that she would turn out to be such good friends with Fiona? It is going to be fun to watch how this plays out. Especially when we hear Ruby laugh out loud as she says that she has finally run away from her family and her kids and at such great speed too.
Then we also see Fiona speak to Billy about how there isn't enough money that could make him forget her. This seems a tad bit more intimate than talking between a personal assistant and her boss. What is stranger is the fact that Fiona seems to know where Billy is despite him running away without informing anyone about his whereabouts. Has she been following him? This would totally answer all the other questions as well. Such as her meeting Ruby or her coming to Ruby's rescue as well.
Also, the promo shows a scene in which Billy enters a room and chances upon a suitcase filled with money. Whose money is it and why would Billy have access to so much money?
At the beginning of Episode 2, it is clear that Billy was running away from someone that he had to apologize to. This apology is not something he is interested in giving and it is in fact at this point that he sends Ruby the text message. What is Billy really running away from is something that we may see more of in the upcoming episode of the show.
We will also see how Ruby plans to accept her family's reaction to her leaving them without a word one fine day. The last time she spoke to her husband Laurence (Rich Sommer), he had said that she can take the one week time that she had needed. She had lied to him about being at a yoga retreat but he must have somehow found out that she was not telling the truth because he ended up calling her a mother who abandoned her sons on the voicemail message. He even ended up blocking her cards all because he was annoyed that he would have to take care of the kids in her absence. Like what about his tennis?
The new episodes of 'Run' will be aired on HBO on Sundays at 10.30 pm.
