'Roswell, New Mexico': Liz's search for answers leads her to Grant Green, could he have been Rosa's lover?

The CW reboot of the '90s cult classic, 'Roswell', might take up the same topic of the three alien siblings disguised as humans residing on earth, but the show chiefly revolves around a mystery involving the death of a main character.

Starring Nathan Parsons as Max Evans, Jeanine Mason as Liz Ortecho, Amber Midthunder as Rosa Ortecho, Lily Cowles as Isobel Evans, and Michael Vlamis as Michael Evans, 'Roswell: New Mexico' finds Liz returning to her hometown only to discover some untold truths about her sister, Rosa's death. The mystery intensifies as Liz has to confront an unusual truth about her childhood sweetheart, Max, who revealed to her he and his siblings, Michael and Isobel, are actually aliens.

Although Liz promised Max, she would not reveal his secret to anyone, the sudden discovery of pieces of evidence regarding her sister's death, led her to believe it was an alien who murdered Rosa. Liz found out, in an autopsy report, Rosa had the same handprint on her mouth at the time of her death, which Liz had on her chest.

The mark on Liz's chest was left behind by Max in Episode 1 when he tried to save her from dying of a gunshot wound. As she tried to connect the dots, she began to believe it was Max who had killed her sister. However, Episode 4 revealed to us it was actually Michael, Max's youngest brother, who was responsible for Rosa's death and Max was only trying to protect his brother by not revealing who the actual killer is.

The promo trailer for episode 5, titled 'Don't Speak,' shows Liz continuing her investigation into Rosa's death. Liz earlier discovered a few clues, such as a bag pack, a letter, and the lyrics of a song, which compelled her to make up her mind about Max being a dangerous creature who murders people. However, when she confronted Max, he explained to her, he had nothing to do with Rosa's death.

As Liz is set to continue her investigation in episode 5, the promo trailer shows her breaking into someone's house. The synopsis of the show mentions Liz meets a new character named Grant Green, who apparently seems to know something about Rosa's death.

The synopsis reads: "Max (Nathan Dean Parsons) and Michael (Michael Vlamis) begin to worry about Isobel (Lily Cowles) after a series of mysterious blackouts cause her to spiral. Liz (Jeanine Mason) turns to Grant Green (guest star Peter Diseth) for help when she learns that he may have witnessed something strange on the night Rosa died. Meanwhile, Kyle (Michael Trevino) and Alex (Tyler Blackburn) uncover a secret that Kyle’s father had been keeping from everyone."

The synopsis of the show mentions Liz meets a new character named Grant Green, who apparently seems to know something about Rosa's death. We were not introduced to Grant before, but it was revealed at the time of her death, Rosa had a lover with whom she intended to flee Roswell.

However, things didn't go as Rosa had planned and when her lover betrayed her, she chose to leave Roswell. It was while she was escaping that she died, and we know now, she was murdered in the desert. We had already learned in Episode 4, when Michael was confessing his crime to his siblings, Rosa was actually killed in the desert. So, could Grant be the lover we were told about?

What did Grant Green witness? In the promo trailer, there's a scene that shows us a massive explosion and a girl picking herself up from the ground and running away from the car. Could it be that Grant was actually there when the explosion happened?

The promo trailer only shows us Liz asking Grant to tell her everything he had seen in the desert that day. However, the question still remains how did Liz come to know about Grant in the first place? That can only be known once the episode airs on The CW February 12 at 9 pm. Watch the promo trailer below.
