LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rosie O' Donnell on Sunday, August 7, took to TikTok regarding the fiery car crash that left actress Anne Heche in critical condition. She revealed she "felt bad" for mocking Anne back in 2002.

Heche's accident happened on Friday, August 5 and her condition remains critical. “I wonder if she’s OK. I think it’s a miracle that she didn’t kill anyone, and I hope she survives. But wow, what a tragic tale. That car was on fire for a long time, they say,” stated O'Donnel in the video.

“I can’t stop thinking about this Anne Heche accident and how horrifying the whole thing is
“I can’t stop thinking about this Anne Heche accident and how horrifying the whole thing is," said O'Donnell in the video (@rosie/TikTok)

Why did O'Donnell mock Heche during a performance?

In a 2001 interview with Walters, Heche said, "I had a fantasy world that I escaped to. I called my other personality Celestia. I believed I was from that world. I believed I was from another planet. I think I was insane. I’m not crazy. But it’s a crazy life. I was raised in a crazy family and it took 31 years to get the crazy out of me." She added, "He raped me … he fondled me, he put me on all fours, and had sex with me."

Later on, O’Donnell made fun of Heche in an interview at an Ovarian Cancer Research benefit at Carolines Comedy Club in Times Square in 2002. She said, "She couldn’t just say, ‘I was a lesbian for two years, it didn’t work out for me'? I don’t know why people make such a big deal about the gay thing. People are confused, they’re shocked like this is a big revelation to somebody.”

'I am feeling bad that I made fun of her'

“I can’t stop thinking about this Anne Heche accident and how horrifying the whole thing is and feeling bad that I made fun of her when she was talking to Barbara Walters about having a relationship with space aliens,” said O'Donnell in the video. “If we have an honest discussion about drunk driving, we find out just how prevalent it is, and that’s terrifying, isn’t it?” she added, indicating a possibility that Heche may have been under the influence. The cops suspect the same as well. The comedian then requested her followers to seek help in case they are dealing with alcoholism, “if you are struggling with alcoholism. Try it before it’s too late. Try it before you’re at your lowest.” said O'Donnell.

Heche was involved in a vicious car accident as she drove her blue mini cooper into a house. The crash led to a fire that left the actress with severe burns. She is admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles and continues to struggle. However, before the major accident, she had crashed her vehicle into a garage and refused the help of onlookers as she proceeded to put the Mini in reverse and take off.
