The K-pop boy group E’LAST is back with their third mini-album ‘Roar’ on April 27. Expanding on their extensive storyline from their previous releases, ‘Roar’ is said to be the climax of E’LAST’s ongoing series. With a total of seven tracks, ‘Creature’ happens to be the lead single of the album. It was released seven months after their first single album ‘Dark Dream,’ which was immensely successful and charted in the top 10 of Gaon Chart and #4 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart.

E’LAST is an eight-member K-pop group that debuted in June 2020 with their first mini-album ‘Day Dream,’ which began their musical journey. In the song's fictional universe, they swore an oath, which was followed by betrayal and misunderstandings. K-pop fans were excited for ‘Creature’ as E’LAST shows an even darker side to them as the various emotions triggered by the betrayal turns them into werewolves. In order to express their storyline, they have performed some pretty passionate and powerful choreography to match the song as they turn from man to wolf.

E’LAST experiment in ‘Roar’

E’LAST is going all out by experimenting with the choreography for the lead single and tracklist. The chorus of ‘Creature’ follows the trend of the anti-drops as the melody takes a back seat to the overpowering staccato rhythm. And with the album having two versions, E’LAST also created two different tracklists for ‘Roar,’ which had many impressed. We get the song ‘Poison’ in the ‘Red Version’ of the album while the ‘Gray Version’ ends with the new track ‘Nightmare’. The album has also crossed 40k album sales on Hanteo already.
