'Always be grateful': 'RHOSLC' star Meredith Marks says she's 'beyond happy to be alive' after car crash
PARK CITY, UTAH: The ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ star Meredith Marks is reminded “to always be grateful and count your blessings” as she has been involved in a car accident amidst the extreme weather of Park City in Utah. The 51-year-old jewelry designer recently took to her social media to post an update about the accident which “could have been far more horrible."
Sharing a selfie of herself with her friend interior designer Kathy Prounis, the ‘Real Housewife’ wrote, “This photo was taken moments before our driver, Brent, was, fortunately, able to maneuver the car into the snowbank, as we were headed to crash off of a cliff in Utah." Due to the quick action taken by her driver, Brent, the trio was saved.

The mother of three didn’t let this opportunity pass to be grateful as she says, “This is a reminder to always be grateful and count your blessings. My dear friend and I were in a car accident that could have been far more horrible. Kathy, Brent, and I are all okay and safe." She also talked about the highest snowfall Park City has experienced in decades, “Please be careful on the roads, especially during this season with the most snow in Park City that we have seen in decades."
She concluded the post by saying, “Many times in life we dwell on things of little importance rather than being grateful for the positive things that we have. I am beyond happy to be alive and well." 💖💖💖
'Happy to be alive and well'
As Park City is reeling under ‘Winter Storm Warning’, the television star met with a dangerous accident that could have been more horrible had it not for the quick thinking of her driver who “maneuvered” the black SUV into the snowbank saving the lives of the three occupants. Along with the selfie, the 'RHOSLC' star also shared a short clip of the car amidst the thick layer of snow.
'There were some pretty dark times'
This is, however, not the first time that Marks spoke about “positive things” in life. In April 2022, Marks exclusively told Page Six about her trying year due to a feud among her costars, the death of her father, and her nephew Alex Ruttenberg’s substance abuse. She said last April, “As you know, I like to disengage. So at the end of last winter, I left Utah,” before adding, “I didn’t come back here for about five or six months. I really needed time and space to process everything that had gone on — both within my family and my circle of friends and how they handled what went on with my family.”
The Bravo celebrity, tired of all the depressing thoughts around her, went amidst the lavender fields at Provence in France. “It was a very spiritual journey for me. I left. I just needed time to decompress and heal myself,” she reminisced before acknowledging “And, of course, therapy never hurts”. She further admitted, “I just really needed to go and take a lot of time for myself.”
In the same interview, she also talked about her nephew Alex struggling with substance abuse. Adding how Aloex won his against addiction, she shared, “...seeing Alex thriving today is obviously a massive positive. It feels good to be through it.”
'Glad you are safe!'
Friends, family, and followers replied to her post thanking God that they are safe. “Love you so much ❤️,” says Brooks Marks, Meredith Marks’s son. Her daughter, Chloe too said, “Love you momma ❤️." Jennifer Tilly says, “Yikes! Glad you are safe!” While Shereé Whitfield writes, “Oh nooo!!! Glad you all are safe 🙏🏽❤️,” Nelini Stamp writes, “Omg sending so much love so glad you are safe." “This is HORRIFYING! I'm so sorry this happened but am so happy you and everyone are all safe,” writes Page Six reporter Bernie Zilio.
