'Real Housewives of New York City': Why does Ramona tolerate Sonja's drunken mess but can't stand Leah?

Fans wondered why Ramona wasn't holding Sonja up to the same standard she holds Leah as she forgave all her misdemeanours

After watching the latest episode of 'Real Housewives of New York City', fans couldn't help but notice the stark difference between the way Ramona Singer treats housewife Sonja Morgan and her fellow new housewife Leah McSweeney. While Ramona maintained a cold attitude and distance from Leah for ruining her birthday party by dancing seductively, she let Sonja off the hook, who damaged the property at the same party. Sonja got drunk and got on a glass table and began stomping on it as the glass shards fell everywhere.

One of the glass shards even got stuck in Dorinda's leg and injured her, but Ramona had nothing to say about it aside from calling Sonja a 'liability' when she is drunk. Ramona, however, decided to gossip about Leah's mental health issues as a way of explaining why Leah behaves so erratically when she is drunk.

Later, the ladies took off to Mexico for a vacation. At the resort, Sonja once again consumes a lot of alcohol, gets naked and begins behaving erratically. She also calls Ramona's private area "chubby p****". When Leah hears Sonja calling Ramona that, she openly wonders how Ramona would have reacted had she been the one using that language to describe Ramona and her body.

Surprisingly, Ramona who insists on maintaining a classy behavior and is a stickler for etiquette had no issues with her dear friend and fellow housewife Sonja running around drunk and naked in the resort, nor demanding the resort's staff to style her hair because she couldn't do it herself. After watching it, fans felt that Ramona was being a hypocrite with the way she treated Leah and Sonja, who both behaved irresponsibly and erratically at her party.

A fan tweeted, "Ramona tolerates Sonja’s hot a** mess, but acts like Leah murdered a bunch of kittens. Hmmmmm... #RHONY."

Another fan wrote, "Can’t stand prissy, hypocritical a** Ramona. Sonja has been doin’ the MOST this season & she doesn’t call her out or shun her? Pero Leah does it & it’s all SHAME SHAME SHAME? Gurl bye. #RHONY."

"I’d love to know why Ramona is more embarrassed by Leah than she is by Sonja. Make it make sense. #RHONY," wondered a fan.

"Can we all agree that this absolutely MUST be Ramona’s last season! She is a hypocrite tolerating Sonja’s DRUNK & OBSCENE behavior, she is despicable for revealing CONFIDENTIAL MEDICAL information about a person, and plain & simple she is just a BORE! #RHONY #RHONYC #FireRamona," expressed an annoyed fan.

"Ramona called leah an alcoholic when she asked for more vodka and sonja can’t even speak real words and ramona isn’t saying a word??? Did someone say hypocrite???? #RHONY," pointed out a fan.
