'RHONJ' fans accuse Andy Cohen and Meghan King of 'workplace harassment' for calling Luis Ruelas 'slimeball narcissist' on live TV

During an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live' on Wednesday, July 12, Meghan King expressed her sentiments regarding Teresa Giudice's husband

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Meghan King slammed Teresa Giudice's husband, Louie 'Luis' Ruelas, comparing him to Vicki Gunvalson's cancer-faking ex, Brooks Ayers. The internet quickly called out both Bravo boss Andy Cohen and Meghan, accusing them of "workplace harassment" while defending Luis.

During an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live' on Wednesday, July 12, the reality star expressed her sentiments regarding 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' star's husband. Meghan made a connection to Brooks when responding to a fan's question about Luis. Soon after, 'RHONJ' fans took to social media to not only condemn Meghan but also to call out Andy for not supporting Luis.

'He’s 100 percent in the Brooks realm'

Andy read the fan-submitted question, and they questioned whether Luis had any parallels with another infamous 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' personality, to which Meghan completely agreed. "He’s 100 percent in the Brooks realm. He’s a slimeball narcissist. He’s like, a terrible dude," she remarked. Meghan shared a news item about her statements on her Instagram account after the interview and stood by what she said about Luis. "When you can spot a narc from a million miles away," she explained.

The 'RHOC' alum notably investigated and eventually learned that Brooks had faked medical records to seem to be receiving cancer treatment — something Brooks later acknowledged in 2015.

While Luis has never pretended to have a medical problem like Brooks, fans have questioned some of his controversial behavior over the years, including reportedly shoving his ex-wife into a metal pole, being charged with assault, and being served with a restraining order, all of which he has denied. His ex-fiancee, Vanessa Reiser, recently filed a restraining order against the 'RHONJ' actor, claiming he hired a private investigator to "stalk her." Christopher A Errante, Luis' attorney, has already refuted the charges and told Page Six that they are "looking forward to being vindicated in court."

'Ready for Tre to walk and be done with the sh*t show'

'RHONJ' fans took to internet soon after to call out the Luis bashing. One person tweeted, "At what point does this become workplace harassment and a hostile work environment. Constantly asking multiple guests about Louie and Teresa and take Andy own admission in his book that they tried bringing in people to take Teresa down, it’s a little too much." Another person chimed in, "What has Louie done for y’all to hate this man so much. It’s giving very much clout chaser & weird energy." One user also asked, "Still on Louie after the season is over when Joe Gorga's been a menace for a decade with the way he speaks to women, largely unchecked?" Fans want Teresa to walk out of the show now, "I can’t . WTF are y’all doing?? @BravoTV @Andy @BravoWWHL THIS WAS DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL!!! At this point I’m ready for Tre to walk and be done with the sh*t show."

One user also noted, "No shock, if only @Bravotv @andy would admit the obvious connection between Margaret, Gorgas, the same PR guy as well as #WWHL conspiring guests SEcupp, Meghan, Tamra Judge etc It is reckless & disgusting for Bravo to slander Luis originated by his stalker/harassing ex." One user also wondered, "They don’t even know him yet it’s crazy how they’re legit bullying this man and making everyone hate him." Another added, "What does she do again besides being a chopped Housewife? Has she even met Louie?"
