Becoming a housewife on Bravo's hit reality franchise 'Real Housewives' is a sure-shot path to celebrityhood for many ladies. But unfortunately, not all ladies can become housewives. There are a lot of boxes to check even before catching the eyes of the casting director, aside from a willingness to share some of the most personal and intimate details on national television. Not many people would be comfortable sharing their personal life for the whole world to watch and judge, besides being constantly tangled in drama while cameras follow your every movement.

Despite these catches, when 'Real Housewives of Dallas' star LeeAnne Locken quit the franchise following her racist remarks, many ladies were more than happy to take her place. Two names that were constantly doing rounds for being LeeAnne's possible replacement were Tifanny Moon and Jennifer Davis Long. While Tiffany was touted as Dallas's first Asian housewife, Jennifer made a buzz for being an extremely successful realtor in Dallas who already ran in the same circle as several housewives (Cary Deuber and Kameron Westcott).

For months, fans eagerly waited for confirmation from Bravo about the new cast members. So, when the network finally announced the premiere of the new season and released the trailer, fans were surprised to realize that Jennifer was not a housewife but a supporting cast member who would be appearing as "friend of the housewives" on the show. Considering she posted a picture of herself with Kameron on her Instagram, it might be safe to assume that she will be Kameron's friend on the show.

According to the grapevine, Jennifer and Tiffany were reportedly roped in to try out for the role of housewives on 'Real Housewives of Dallas'. But when Jennifer and her husband's divorce had been confirmed, the realtor has reportedly been demoted by Bravo. Jennifer's husband David Long reportedly refused to be filmed and this allegedly led to her demotion.

Since a lot of drama on the show comes from the personal lives of the ladies, when a family member refuses to be filmed, this cuts short the scope for the cast member's plotline. This could be an explanation for the realtor getting demoted even before the show began airing. News of her demotion has been doing rounds on the internet with a Twitter user called ChristianGSnow posting the news of her demotion and her divorce. He wrote, "Newbie Jennifer Davis Long is divorcing. That part has been confirmed. However, rumor has it that Bravo has demoted to a 'friend of'."

He also added, “Due to the divorce, her husband no longer wanted to participate in filming. This means less of a storyline, therefore a reduced role.” Aside from the news of Jennifer's demotion and divorce, he also gave an update about the rest of the cast members on his post. He shared, "Lots of filming is being done at cast members’ homes (backyards, parties, etc.) because production wants to make it look like they are being 'responsible' and not in public. Cast in currently in Austin (again) for cast trip due to inability to travel. Cary Deuber is posting lots with cast to make it seem like she may be involved in the season but is not filming.”

Guess we will just have to watch the show to find out what happened to Jennifer and get more details on her divorce.

'Real Housewives of Dallas' Season 5 premieres on January 5 at 9/8c only on Bravo.
