'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kenya Moore finds her Christmas present and it's 'surprise of a lifetime'
Christmas really brings out the best in people and looks like it's a chosen time for family reunions. 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kenya Moore was in for a surprise when her estranged mother attempted to establish a connection with her by sending her granddaughter Brooklyn a birthday present.
Kenya organized a late birthday for her little one, which almost coincided with Christmas.
"My prayer has always been to have a family. We had a late celebration for @thebrooklyndaly for her birthday and got a surprise of a lifetime. My mother sent her a gift for her," Kenya wrote in her post. Clearly, she is thrilled because her previous experience trying to get her mother to talk to her wasn't a very pleasant one.
In Season 8 of 'RHOA', Kenya's mother, Patricia Moore, didn't answer the door of her Detroit home despite Kenya's repeated attempts. The reality TV star has always yearned for her mother's love because she was abandoned at just three days old and raised by her aunt, Doris Grant. She has had a very rocky relationship with her father, Ronald Grant, as well.
However, looks like Kenya is ready to put the past to rest and embrace new beginnings. "I had stopped praying about our relationship but God sent a message through my child. This is life. And despite challenges, God is always on time. Happy Holidays 💗❤️ #love #family #Forgiveness #miraclebaby #healing," she added in her Instagram post.
But not everything is beginning to sort itself out in Kenya's life, all thanks to husband Marc Daly, who has been a difficult person lately. To begin with, the couple live in different cities. Marc has no interest in her show and doesn't want to be filmed, which had resulted in a massive pay cut for Kenya, and then he went ahead and rejected the idea of having a prenup.
According to an All About Tea insider, Marc married Kenya so that she could help fix his failing businesses and pay off the debts.
"Marc has been seeing this woman for years and loves her very much. He hooked up with Kenya because she was so willing to pay for everything and helped him get out of debt and pay his bills," the source revealed.
Kenya and Marc have decided to call it quits and their crumbling marriage was one of the central storylines of this year's 'RHOA.'
