'RHOA' star Eva Marcille uncertain about her friendship with Nene Leakes, but says anything can happen
The Eva Marcille-Nene Leakes beef isn't slowing down, at least for the time being. What looks like a regular misunderstanding between two friends has snowballed into something bigger and possibly, unresolvable at the moment. It all started when Eva had asked Nene to keep her microphones off for a private conversation they were having, but she didn't oblige. Ever since, the two have been in a cold war of sorts.
In the latest episode of 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' Eva was asked if she could elaborate on her current friendship status with Nene, to which she said it's uncertain at this point but she really likes her and anything can happen. It's really great to know that Eva has been handling the tiff in a mature fashion and not dragging it out unnecessarily.
Last month, she even told TooFab that they were in an okay place, but their efforts to make amends didn't turn out to be what they thought it would.
“You get to see during the season where we left off, which was not so great, and we try to figure out what’s gonna happen here — if we’re even gonna make amends and what that would look like — so we spent some time trying to figure out what that would look like. Today, I can say we’re definitely not where we were and not where I wish or thought we would be now, but it’s not as bad as it could be,” the site quoted her as saying.
But, their rift is deeper than just a conversation that went wrong. Eva had said after she had watched a couple of episodes she realized she and Nene weren't friends, but the latter wasn't ready to accept the claim. In her defense, Nene said that she had Eva's back on multiple occasions. There were even talks of how Nene was responsible for Eva's role in 'RHOA,' but the latter revealed she knew Nene from before but her being cast in the show had nothing to do with her.
