'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Fans want 'shade queen' Phaedra Parks to return, but is it really comeback time?

We think it might be time for the real shade queen Phaedra Parks to come back on 'RHOA' and here is why

The previous episode of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' saw Kenya Moore referring to herself as the "shade assassin". As soon as fans heard it they quickly pointed out that former housewife Phaedra Parks is the real shade queen.

This itself should explain the hold Phaedra has over the audience. Despite being absent from the show for the last two seasons, this former housewife still manages to evoke very strong feelings among fans — whether it is love or hate is a different story though.

Phaedra found herself booted from the show towards the end of season 9 when it was revealed that she was the source of the rumors revolving fellow housewife Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker trying to sexually assault another fellow housewife Porsha Williams in their sex dungeon.

Kandi was so furious with Phaedra after learning that she was the source of the rumor, which almost destroyed her reputation, that she threatened to quit the show if Phaedra returned the next season.

Considering Kandi is one of the most popular housewives of the franchise, the network let go of Phaedra. While fans were happy with the network’s decision to fire a housewife who stooped so low for a storyline, they began second-guessing when the plotline for the seasons without Phaedra became dull and boring.

For instance, the main plotline of the current season is how all the housewives have turned against NeNe Leakes. With rumors of NeNe's possible exit on the horizon, we can't help but wonder what the show has left to offer.

Phaedra might have been a nightmare to her fellow housewives, but nobody can deny that she was extremely entertaining and provided great content to the show.

Who can forget her epic read to Kenya during one of the reunions about Kenya hopping from sperm bank to sperm bank in search of a donor which was unofficially declared as the "read of the decade", or her deadly one-liners which left us rolling on the floor laughing.

Fans certainly haven't forgotten this and have been demanding to bring back the housewife on the show.

A fan tweeted, "I miss Phaedra damn it. She has the absolute best one-liners, ever, like, evah and shady as hell too. 'I invited everybody to come and make peace they showed up pissed'. Bring her back already, Bravo. #RHOA."

Another fan shared, "They need to give Phaedra back her peach. It’s not the same without her.  #RHOA." Fans even began suggesting the housewives who could be fired to make a place for Phaedra's return.

A fan commented, "I'm composing my email to Andy Cohen begging him to fire Kenya and replace her with Phaedra #RHOA."

Another fan suggested, “@BravoTV Please bring back Phaedra.. RHOA is becoming repetitive..with everybody hates NeNe storyline..this is fake drama..if you remove NeNe from the show some of these girls wouldn't have a storyline..bring back Phaedra..so they will have REAL drama to deal with."

Fans also seem to be done with Kandi’s threats of leaving the show. A fan wrote, "We miss you Queen of reads Phaedra..we're sooooo bored!!! Please come back to us oh and Kandi can leave as she has threatened because she is giving us zero content honey idc.. #RHOA @Andy @BravoTV."

Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, "@Andy Can we please have Phaedra on the show again? Please stop denying fans just to please the person who reportedly stated they would leave the show if she returned. If she wants to leave, BYE! Phaedra would be more interesting anyway! #RHOA."

Do you think it is time for Phaedra Parks to return to 'RHOA'? Let us know. 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 12 airs every Sunday at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo.
