Who watches the 'Watchmen'? The critics have been watching it and have given the series a big thumbs up — in particular, Regina King and Laurie Blake, who both won awards at the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards.

Regina King won the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Angela Abar/Sister Night, while Jean Smart took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Agent Laurie Blake.

'Watchmen' was nominated for two other awards as well — Tim Blake Nelson was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series while the show itself was nominated for Best Drama series.

'Watchmen' centered around Regina King's character, Angela Abar, a cop with the costumed identity of Sister Night who had deep ties to the events of the show. Jean Smart's Laurie Blake was an FBI agent on the anti-vigilante task force, formerly super hero Silk Spectre, who was a major character in the original 'Watchmen' comic.

'Watchmen' has been garnering a lot of attention this awards season, with several nominations from the NAACP Image Awards. The show has been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series (Regina King), Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series (Damon Lindelof and Cord Jefferson for 'The Extraordinary Being'), in addition to Regina being nominated for Entertainer of the Year.

The first season of 'Watchmen' ended last month, and it's been reported that there are no plans for a Season 2, Season 1 being meant to have told a complete story. However, both Regina and David Lindelof have expressed interest in returning to the show if there was a way to do it right.

"Right now the space that HBO is in and that I'm in is we're asking the question, Should there be another season of 'Watchmen'?" he said, in an interview with Variety. "And if there should be another season, what would it be?"

The complete first season of 'Watchmen' is available to stream on HBO.
