Ever since fans first found out that 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star Mary Cosby was married to her step-grandfather, fans have been very curious to learn more about her life and marriage. Although Mary mentioned in passing that she was married to her step-grandfather, she never went into the details. The latest episode of 'RHOSLC' finally featured the housewife spilling the tea on the circumstances that led her to marry her step-grandfather.

During her outing with fellow housewife- Meredith Marks, the housewife began discussing her family. She started off by mentioning how her son, Robert, just got a girlfriend and is showering all his attention on her and neglecting everything else. She then moved on to the topic of her husband, Robert Sr. Mary explained that her marriage to him was arranged by her late grandmother.

Prior to her grandmother's passing, she reportedly told Mary and the other family members that she wanted the housewife to take her pace, which included inheriting the family's vast fortune and wealth along with her husband.

So, when her grandmother passed away, Mary married her step-grandfather. She was just 22 at that time, and her relationship with her mother was already strained. Her mother felt that she should have inherited everything, and married her step-father. So, the mother-daughter duo couldn't see eye to eye on anything, as Mary felt that her mother prioritized money over relationships.

However, Mary also added that after the wedding, when she got to know Robert, she was beyond happy, and felt that her grandmother picked the perfect man for her. In her green room interview, the producers asked her if she slept with her husband on their first night after the wedding. The housewife admitted that it took her two weeks to get comfortable with the idea of sleeping with her new husband and thanked her periods for giving her that time.

When fans heard about Mary's grandmother's desire for her grand-daughter to take her place including marrying her husband, they felt that the housewife was being "groomed" since an early age by her. Fans also began feeling sorry for Mary.

A fan tweeted, "Mary said she felt her grandma trained her. Ma’am that’s called grooming #RHOSLC." "I don’t want to believe that Mary’s grandmother groomed her to marry Rob Sr nor do I want to believe he was eyeing her from an early age BUT he would’ve known Mary since she was a kid. So...#RHOSLC," wrote another fan.

Another fan expressed, "Mary is an abused person I think. Groomed by her grandma's ways and now she has had kids with her step-grandpa and is leading a cult. #RHOSLC." "It sounds like Mary was groomed? Why would your arranged marriage husband pressure you to have sex w him if you weren’t comfortable? It gives me the icks #RHOSLC," revealed a fan.

Another commented, "idk why ppl are dragging mary tbh. she was clearly groomed by her step-grandfather and seems to be just as brainwashed as the other members of her cult *cough* church. idk the whole situation seems very disturbing and I feel bad for her. #RHOSLC."
