'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Fans support Nene Leakes being unapologetic about trying to spit on Kenya Moore
The makers of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' are setting the cast members up for more drama. The mid-season trailer dropped on Thursday, January 16, and it was explosive, to say the least reports Page Six. A quick glimpse into it will tell you how interesting and gossipy the next batch of episodes is going to get.
Amid all the noise, we see NeNe Leakes making an attempt to spit at Kenya Moore. However, Nene is not one bit apologetic about it and has mentioned it in clear terms on social media. The reality TV star justified her actions saying that it had to be done because she has been on her toes all of season 12 since Kenya has been making wild allegations (calling her bipolar and that she is on drugs) against her. "Plus that recent tweet she posted so enjoy the moment! I DID the act but DIDNT SPIT! I Wish i had tho! No regrets," Nene added.
Meanwhile, fans seem to be agreeing with Nene. They don't appreciate Kenya poking, prodding people and leaving the scene scarless just when the brawl is about to begin.
"Man Kenya pokes the bear and gets away with anything but soon as somebody respond they the evil one!," a fan wrote. "Kenya is an animal she got what she deserves I'm glad NeNe is the only one to stick up to her Kenya has Attack every person on the housewives and their Husbands and momma so NeNe DID WHAT SHE DID," another posted. "I can’t stand Kenya! I don’t know why she is even back on the show. All she does is start nonsense between you girls. We want to see more of y’all being successful, being happy and raising your families not being ratchet like Kenya," a viewer expressed.
This isn't the first time that they tried having a go at each other. During the group trip to Toronto, the argument about the Cynthia Bailey recordings could have been solved easily but instead, it snowballed into a full-fledged brawl that was kept from going nasty by the security personnel present at the scene. After Yovanna Momplaisir was found guilty of recording Cynthia badmouthing Nene, Nene asked Cynthia to not leave the room. Reacting to it, Kenya almost pointed a finger into Nene's face and that's what ticked her off real bad.
Explaining herself and her actions from the episode on her YouTube channel -- The Life of NeNe -- NeNe said the housewives have a rule that none of us get into each other's literal space. And this was established after Kenya put a scepter on Porsha Williams' face. "Putting your hand in somebody’s face — it had nothing to do with her. I was trying to talk to Cynthia. I wasn’t talking to her at all. So it was just crazy. I was only talking to Cynthia. She didn’t have to do that, because if I did it, all hell would break loose," she said in her video.
