Meet 'Help! I'm In a Secret Relationship!' host Rahne Jones' not-so-secret life partner Bridget Kelly
Rahne Jones relocated to New York City nearly five years ago with the hopes of pursuing a career as an actress. When she met Bridget Kelly, she got more than just a part on Netflix's 'The Politician;' she gained a lifetime of love.
Rahne Jones, who will soon be seen co-hosting MTV's 'Help! I'm In a Secret Relationship!' with Travis Mills, has never kept her real-life relationship a secret. The romance between her and her then-girlfriend, now-wife, Bridget Kelly, started in a piano bar in the West Village in 2016. During the pandemic, the two discovered they were more than capable of surviving in their NYC apartment while quarantined together. Their initial wedding date of 10/10/2020 was thrown off by the pandemic, which highlighted yet another concern during the height of Black Lives Matter. As they delayed their wedding for the second time in 2021, they continued to have tough conversations regarding leading lives as an interracial couple. Finally, on Mischief Night, Jones and Kelly got married in a beautiful fall ceremony only steps away from Central Park.

The couple knew they wanted something traditional with a contemporary twist that was unmistakably New York. The pair initially assumed this meant a rooftop with a nice view, but after visiting the museum, they realized it was the ideal location. Their first look took place at the Central Park Conservatory Gardens, only a few blocks from the site, a few hours before the ceremony.
The Wedding
The couple had always planned to marry at a historic Upper East Side location. They aren't very fond of flowers. They attempted to keep it as simple as possible while maintaining an air of elegance. It was a decent-sized wedding in terms of the number of guests. They wanted it to seem like a celebration and a party at the end of the day. They wanted to get to the drinking as soon as possible after the ceremony.
The pair landed in May 2021 after postponing the 10/10/20 date. They chose to reschedule five months well before the second date, months after making the call. Rahne and Bridget realized May wouldn't be what they expected, so they extended the deadline back to October 30, 2021. The first postponement was rather easy, but the second postponement until autumn 2021 proved to be much more challenging. It was difficult to find a date that worked for everyone, but they managed to do it.
They planned to marry on October 30, which meant they'd get married during Halloween weekend. They featured a few New York-themed embellishments as well as a few Halloween-themed accents. Maps of Unfamiliar York and information for people new to the public transit system were included in all the welcome bags. Plus, black and white cookies, a New York City bakery favorite. There were also sweets for Halloween. Since it was Halloween by the time the wedding concluded, Bridget's wonderful mother created chocolate-covered Oreos in the shape of ghosts, which were their favorite. 'Til Death Do Us Part' was written on the ribbon that was attached to them. Because they like Halloween, they were thrilled to be able to include some eerie elements in their wedding.
The couple's sense of flair was evident in their wedding clothes. Kelly, in a ballgown by Essence of Australia, purchased on a trip to Kleinfeld Bridal; her accouterments by Jennifer Behr. Jones, in a tailored suit from The Tailory with a beautiful hat by Goorin Bros. Both wore similar Kate Spade x Keds shoes from the wedding line, which were casual and comfy.
Their moms had presented them with 'Something Old, Something New.' Jones took her mother's watch. Bridget also stunned her mother by wearing a necklace with a ring her mother had given her. Bridget's father gave the ring to her mother as a gift, and she received it on her 30th birthday.
When did it all begin?
Jones relocated to New York City in 2016 as she simply desired a change after years of working for Homeland Security. She was looking for something fresh and demanding, and she found it in the theater. Acting became her passion. Jones' world intersected with Kelly's at a place of mutual interest one evening out at Marie's Crisis Café, a piano bar in the West Village. They are huge fans of musical theater. When Jones initially went to New York, she met her there, and they hit it off. They started as friends and it grew from there.
During a deep period of introspection, Jones realized Kelly was "the one." Jones and Kelly have talked about their respective roots and how they relate to their overall love story for a long time. This has always been a cornerstone of their relationship. Bridget and Jones have always prided themselves on being open and honest, and on having genuine conversations about their experiences and how they might affect a relationship and how others see it.
