‘Racing Wives’: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything you need to know about CMT’s new show on NASCAR drivers' wives

Racecar drivers wives lead just as glamorous and edgy lives as their husbands. CMT's new show 'Racing Wives' will give a sneak peek into this glamorous lifestyle filled with drama and fun. Here is everything you need to know about the show.

If the 'Real Housewives' franchise is your guilty pleasure, then get ready for a new indulgence- ‘Racing Wives’. ‘Racing Wives’ revolves around the glamorous and edgy lifestyle of the wives of NASCAR drivers. They give us a behind the scenes look at what it is like to be married to a man who drives at 200mph as his profession.

Release date

The show was originally scheduled to premiere in January 2019, but due to some technical reasons, it got postponed to August 2019. The show is set to premiere on Friday, August  2. 

Plot

If you have ever been curious about what it's like to be married to a world-famous race car driver, then this show is your answer. The show revolves around the lives of Samantha and Kyle Busch; Ashley and Kurt Busch; Whitney and Austin Dillon;  Mariel Lane and Paul Swan and Amber Balcaen. The series goes inside the personal and professional lives of the women as they support their husbands, friends and one another, both on and off the raceway.

Ashley Busch

Ashley Busch is married to NASCAR driver Kurt Busch. She is a polo player and a brand ambassador for U.S. Polo Association. 

Samantha Busch

Samantha Buscha, wife of Kyle Busch is one of the leading cast members of the show. Samantha has been very public about her experience with her IVF treatment while trying for their son Braxton. She even started "Bundle of Joy Fund" to create awareness about infertility and provide financial assistance to couples seeking fertility treatments. 

Whitney Dillon

Whitney is a former Monster Model who married driver Austin Dillon in 2017. Monster Models are NASCAR cheerleaders. She along with fellow co-star Mariel run a blog called "The BFF Blog" where they share snippets of their lives, lifestyle and beauty advice.

Mariel Lane

Mariel is a Monster Model. She is engaged to Paul Swan, who is a tire carrier for Richard Childress Racing, according to his Instagram. Mariel runs a blog with her BFF Whitney where they write about lifestyle and beauty.

Amber Balcaen

Amber isn't a racing wife but rather a driver herself. She left everything behind in Canada including her man to pursue her dreams of becoming a NASCAR driver.
