Just a few months after crowning its Season 17 winner, 'Project Runway' is back with Season 18, and fans are already saying that Sergio Guadarrama, a designer who has created outfits for celebrities like Billy Porter, will have to blame his own ego for his downfall this season.

'Project Runway' Season 18 returned on Thursday night for an all-new season with 16 new contestants battling it out in the workroom to come out as the ultimate fashion champion.

Karlie Kloss is back as the host, and Christian Siriano as the mentor for the second season. Overseeing the designers are judges Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell and Elaine Welteroth. This season the winner will receive a $250,000 grand prize from Blueprint.

They will also receive an opportunity to be featured in a Blueprint digital series. Apart from that, the winner will also get $50,000 compliments from Pilot FriXion Erasable Gel Ink Pens, a feature in Elle magazine, and a mentorship with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

Though all the contestants are trying their best to not get sent home and make it all the way, it looks like one particular contestant will have to try harder because currently, he is letting his ego ruin his position in the show.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, the 36-year-old designer Sergio has been featured in Vogue, Vogue Italia, People Magazine, Forbes, and New York Magazine. He also designed Billy Porter's 2019 Tony Awards show-stopping red-carpet look.

While these accomplishments are great, it looks like he is letting it get to his head when it comes to the competition and is not ready to take criticism from his mentor, Christian.

His arrogance didn't go unnoticed right from the start when he revealed in a carefree manner that he is already at Brandon Maxwell and Christian Siriano’s level.

When Christian warned him about his proportion in his designs, Sergio, during the confession, adds, "I don't know if he understands how technically advanced I am as a designer."

This didn't sit well with viewers back home who took to Twitter to say that if he is so advanced why is he even here in the competition and that his ego will be the cause for his downfall.

"Sergio's ego is going to be his downfall this season... just watch. #ProjectRunway," a fan wrote. Another said, "Look Sergio if you are so advance you wouldn’t be on #ProjectRunway . Get over yourself."

"Oh, no, Sergio did not just throw shade at Christian. Again, if Sergio is so technically advanced what's he doing on #ProjectRunway?? It seems it would be so beneath him to be on a reality TV show," wrote a fan.

Another another shared, "Sergio.....u talking too much....the dress was trash #projectrunway." Do you think Sergio's ego will be his downfall? Let us know.

'Project Runway' Season 18 airs every Thursday night only on Bravo. Check your local listings for more information.
