'Project Runway': Sergio's snooty remarks aren't doing him any good, fans call him 'arrogant prick'

Sergio Guadarrama said he doesn't want to design for young people because they can't own expensive clothes.

In tonight's episode of 'Project Runway,' we see the well-meaning Christian Siriano go around the workroom sharing his valuable feedback with the contestants, but guess who doesn't need one? Sergio Guadarrama. He is turning out to be quite a snoot queen, his wild statements are proof of it.

After the designers were asked to work their magic around cat prints and create garments that are street-style, Christian was quick to assist them in picking fabrics at the Mood and even invigilate a little to ensure that they are headed in the right direction. But, Sergio didn't look like he needed any because he was busy counteracting any and all advice Christian gave him.

To give it context, street-style essentially means casual clothing, clothing that doesn't arise out of studios or runways. In a nutshell, you could wear a street-style garment to a grocery store. But Sergio's design sensibility is different. He masters in evening wear, which has a lot to do with trails, patterns, and elaborate shapes and silhouettes.

The Austin-based designer was more than halfway through creating an evening gown-esque item that Christian began to question. He asked if it fits well with the theme, to which he said: "I don’t do young people’s clothes. Young people can’t afford expensive things, so why design for them? I am an evening-wear designer for that 45-60-year-old woman. They’re my market and I’m not changing that." However, he did ask for Christian's suggestion and said would work on his project further.

Meanwhile, the internet is flooded with sarcastic comments on Sergio's skills as a designer. Most viewers didn't like the look and were shocked that he was saved by the judges. "Sergio made a leopardprint maid’s costume with a table cloth tacked on the back, yes he’s waaaayyyy beyond Christian Siriano’s caliber #ProjectRunway," a fan wrote, while another tweeted, "#ProjectRunway Sergio dress looks like square dancing dress for toddlers & tiaras."

A bunch of other users said he didn't follow the challenge and ended up making a prom/ wedding dress. It may be his area of expertise, but Sergio needs to adapt to the challenges thrown at him, just like rest of the contestants.

''Sergio’s time on TV is short but his comments will be everlasting.. way to make yourself look like an ass to ppl “under 45” #projectrunway," expressed a fan. "Here goes this prick Sergio (I don't design for younger people because that don't have money)WTF!!!? Gosh he gets on my nerves...arrogant PRICK! #ProjectRunway," wrote a user.
