'Project Runway' eliminations have been throwing the audience for a loop. Veronica Sheaffer and Alan Gonzalez, both talented and exceptionally skilled designers, were shown the door in the second and third episodes, respectively.  And the viewers cannot seem to put two and two together simply because they thought the duo deserved another shot. There has been no confirmation yet, but Alan hinted that he could be back to win the show, albeit as a joke.

In a sit-down chat with mentor Christian Siriano, Alan got asked about his thoughts on the potential winner of the show and he said it was going to be him. As Alan laughed heartily, Christian pointed out that they were taping an after-show video, which is essentially an episode for and with eliminated contestants.

The 24-year-old defended his stance saying: "We are in the last episode. They did New York Fashion Week, right? They did it all, right? They're about to announce the winner. Bam! Siriano Save. I pop out in front of the Project Runway screen. I am the winner. Damn! Ain't nobody saw it coming. It's the twist of the season in the fur boots." Christian shook his head in shock and said that that was never going to happen, to which Alan jokingly said it was worth the try.

Alan's look for the Unconventional Holiday round failed to impress the judges, following which he was asked to leave the show. When asked what was going on in his mind when he was putting together the look - (a very silvery, skimpy skirt, with decor feathers adorning an almost naked chest) - Alan explained that he had picked up more than enough material for his project and then didn't know how best he could align all of those items to stitch up a cohesive, interesting look.

This wasn't the first time that Alan found himself in the bottom two. Episode 1 had him and Dayoung Kim work together to create space-y outfits. Even though his works have not stirred the judges the way it should have, the outfits were different from the rest and never blended in the crowd, which continues to be his unpolished, effortless talent.

Meanwhile, fans thought it was unfair to show Alan the doors. "Brittany/Sergio and Geoffrey/Melonie the best? The colors of G and M's are just no. I've never seen anyone wear that color... there is a reason for it. I agree w/ Asma/Jenn in the bottom but no way Alan/Dayoung were bottom looks. These judges gonna test me S18. #ProjectRunway," a fan expressed. While another wrote: "@brittanyallentx @Alantude That last #ProjectRunway elimination was tough to watch. While I'm glad to see Brittany and Tyler go through, I'll miss Alan's outsized personality. Good luck to him!"
