'Project Blue Book' to showcase Dr Allen Hynek's obsession with UFOs and its impact on his marriage
The best thing about History channel's upcoming series, 'Project Blue Book,' is that the titular project was actually a real-life phenomenon that attempted exposing the truth behind the '50s alleged UFO sightings that were reported from the Washington DC area. The next best aspect about the new show is that it is told through Dr. J Allen Hynek - the only civilian to be involved in the project. The series isn't strictly an aliens and UFO's story. The show also goes in depth to reveal what actually happened, while also showcasing a biographical adaptation of Dr. Hynek's involvement and its impact on his marriage.
Hynek - a family man, college professor, and an astrophysicist - reportedly devoted his career to all things extraterrestrial. Charged with the title of the only civilian involved in Project Blue Book and dedicating his life to explaining the unexplainable, Hynek managed to leave behind a legacy after his death in 1986, and it is now up to the new show to showcase his involvement with the project, which lasted 17 years, from 1952 to 1969.
