A "soapy-sexy" legal court drama that not only tackles weekly cases to fight for the wrongly convicted but also interweaves the murder mystery of who killed Rosemary Lynch (Casey Tutton). The Fox series revolves around the story of Madeline Scott (Rachelle Lefevre), a fierce lawyer, who herself was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her best friend, Rosemary, along with her brother Levi Scott (Riley Smith). Ten years after she and her brother were proven innocent, she became a top-notch lawyer, graduating at the top of her class in Yale, and establishing her own law firm along with the lawyer who set her free, Ezekiel 'Easy' Boudreau (Russell Hornsby). Her mission isn't just to fight for the falsely convicted but also expose corrupt officials such a Gore Bellows (Kelsey Grammer), the prime antagonist of the show, and the man who put Madeline and Levi behind bars.
