Spoilers ahead for Episode 6 'All Souls and Sadists' of 'Prodigal Son'

At the end of episode six 'All Souls and Sadists', Malcolm (Tom Payne) found the station wagon he had been looking for in what looked like a junkyard.

He had been looking for the station wagon ever since he found photographs of him and his father Dr. Martin Whitly (Michael Sheen) in front of the car.

But while he expected his mental health to be triggered, he wasn't completely prepared for what he saw inside the trunk. Under a black light, blood lights up and it doesn't just glow at one spot — the entire trunk lights up.

This indicates that something sinister definitely happened on that camping trip and inside the car. What is the car doing here and how has nobody spotted it all these years?

According to the promo for episode seven 'Q&A', Malcolm tells his sister Ainsley (Halston Sage) that they have a new serial killer on their hands and he thinks "he might be connected to Dad".

Meanwhile, it looks like Ainsley is going ahead with her exclusive interview with The Surgeon. Despite Jessica's (Bellamy Young) repeated dissuading, Ainsley wishes to go ahead with the interview leaving her mother and her brother worried about her safety.

The promo to next week's episode shows that the interview takes an unexpected turn leading to pandemonium, blood, and fright. Ainsley and Malcolm are at the psychiatric facility along with Ainsley's boyfriend Jin (Raymond Lee), who is also her cameraman.

"We're going to show the real Martin Whitly even if it kills us," Ainsley is shown saying in the trailer. Somewhere during the interview, Ainsley seems to have touched a nerve causing her father to get worked up.

After this Gil (Lou Diamond Phillips) is shown saying that there is a lockdown at the hospital. The very next scene shows a dead body being dragged. How are Ainsley and Malcolm going to stay safe?

According to the official synopsis of the episode, "Bright's quest for answers about his childhood leads him to a junkyard, where he's bombarded with gunshots. Narrowly escaping, Bright and the NYPD discover multiple bodies on the scene, with victims spanning decades."

"Gil, Dani, Frank and Bright must investigate this serial killer who Bright suspects has something to do with The Surgeon. Meanwhile, Ainsley's exclusive interview with Martin takes an unexpected turn, forcing her to team up with Bright," the synopsis adds.

Ainsley is getting the interview that she wanted. But at what price? 'Prodigal Son' airs on Mondays at 9 pm ET/PT on Fox.
