Is 'Prey' the best film in the 'Predator' franchise? Amber Midthunder-starrer becomes Hulu's biggest release
HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES: Hulu has every reason to brag. The 'Predator' prequel 'Prey' became the streamer's most popular premiere of all time. In a press release, Disney stated that the alien flick shattered Hulu’s records for the most-watched premiere for a single release pipping every other show and film in the streamer's roster. Per an IGN report, the Amber Midthunder-starrer was the most watched film premiere on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in territories where Hulu is not available.
Directed by '10 Cloverfield Lane's Dan Trachtenberg, 'Prey' follows the predator who lands on earth in the 1700s. The film's official synopsis reads, "Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, 'Prey' is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries."

"Since we have seen Naru handed the “Raphael Adolini 1715“ back to her tribe, are we gonna see a the pirate story with the Greyback Predator in the future? From what I remembered seen in Predator 2, the Elder GreyBack handed that pirate pistol to Lt. Harrigan as a Trophy," one of the tweets read. "Pretty solid movie for being a shorter movie, atleast in today's world. Good action and good characters, what else can you want from a Predator flick," another wrote. "Such a good film. It was so much different from the first one. I wouldn't say it was better than the first but it was second that's for sure. #Hulu #DisneyPlus #Star," another fan opined.
