'Power Book 2: Ghost' is here, without...James 'Ghost' St Patrick (Omari Hardwick), as we last saw him being killed by his own son, Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr) in 'Power'. The spinoff series sees Tariq taking centerstage and starting college while trying to get his mother Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton) out of jail. Tasha doesn't seem to want to get out of jail and is determined to protect her son at every cost, to the point of being downright 'stupid', as fans would say. She's eager to pin the blame on anyone else too, as long as her son isn't harmed. As things stand, she fired her own attorney, who realized that there was something fishy about the entire case. Her attorney isn't the only one, it's slowly dawning on others too.

Tasha needs to spill the beans soon, else she faces prison for over 15 years and watching this, viewers of the show had a lot to say to the mother.

So, Tasha needs to get her story straight, before things spiral further out of hand. "Tasha is stupid I can’t take this #PowerBook2 #PowerTV," one fan wrote.

Others noted that Tasha is just right where she is supposed to be, as this is all her doing. "Tasha is right where she needs to be for being so shady and stupid. She planted those seeds of hate for Ghost in her son Tariq.#PowerBook2," one tweeted.

"IF TASHA DOESN'T TELL EM WHO'S THE SHOOTER IS, (*cough* Tariq) SHE'LL SPEND 15 YEARS IN PRISON #PowerBook2," one wrote.

Others called her a 'terrible liar' as Tasha ratted off all the men from 'Power' trying to frame them for Ghost's murder, which of course nobody bought. "Public Defender: Take the 10-15 yrs. It's a good deal. Tameka is a great lawyer. Why you fired her? Tasha (thinking): Right now, I don't know why either. #PowerTV
#PowerBook2 #PowerStarz," another tweeted, sharing an exasperated GIF.

Meanwhile, some are actually feeling sorry to see Tasha in an orange jumper and rotting in jail, while her son is attending frat parties. "Normally, I'm not one to talk about a show so early, especially when a season's JUST begun, but meh... Poor Tasha. #PowerBook2," a fan tweeted.

Will Tariq go to jail, or will Tasha fight to protect him?

'Power Book II: Ghost' airs on StarZ, Sundays, at 9 pm.
