'Power Book II: Ghost', the spinoff of the popular series 'Power' is here, with one major change: There's no Ghost (Omari Hardwick) even though his shadow is still felt in the show. The spinoff picks up from where 'Power' left off, just after Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) killed his father while his mother Tasha took the fall for it. In the premiere, Tariq gets ready for college, while vowing to try to get his mother out of jail.

It's going to be a hell of a year for him, as Tasha is desperate to cover up for him and is willing to lie to everyone to save him. As matters stand, she just fired the lawyer who could have saved her. Fans, however, are rather displeased with Tariq and want Ghost back on the show, even though he was wildly notorious for his numerous crimes.

Some are even praying that Tariq gets arrested while others are wishing for his death. "#PowerBook2 time to see Tariq get what he deserves. With his lul scrawny a**," one fan tweeted.

"I feel like I’m gonna get so irritated of Tariq in this season. #PowerBook2," another wrote.

"I’m sorry, but no matter how much they try to force Tariq, I can’t forgive him for killing Ghost. No matter how much they hated him, they need Ghost to get them out of trouble. Tasha and Tariq are fixing to have it ROUGH  #PowerGhost #PowerBook2," one wrote.

"Tariq is still trash. He didn't even finish the book. You're here for Mary J & Method & maybe Cane killing ppl. #PowerGhost #PowerBook2 #BlackTwitter," a fan wrote.

"Just seeing Tariq face pisses me off #PowerBook2," another tweeted.

Meanwhile, a few others are impressed with the actor and said that he has stepped up his acting game. Speaking about his role, Rainey Jr had told TV Line, "It’s definitely hard for Tariq. I mean, he just killed his father, his mom is in jail for something he did, so he definitely feels terrible about that. He has to really just take everything on, man up and take on the responsibilities he has."

'Power Book II: Ghost' airs on Starz on Sundays at 9 pm.
