It looks like a combined holiday with pop stars Charli XCX and Tove Lo is proving to be a fruitful affair for fans. Taking to her social media on April 2, Charli XCX teased that she and her celebrity pal have been writing not one, but multiple collaborative songs during their holiday in Palm Springs.

In a new photo on her Instagram, Charli XCX can be seen rocking an emoji filter on her entire face with cheers from Tove Lo in the background. The pair are clearly having a bunch of fun, but it hasn't stopped them from dedicating their time to some creativity with new music.

Charli XCX wrote, "@tovelo and i have been out in Palm Springs writing songs together for a week (tested and safe) and we been making the best music ever!!!!!" Bear in mind this hint could spell a potential collaborative album, or at least an EP of sorts. In addition to the teaser, Charli XCX also pointed fans to an infectious playlist she's been working on for Spotify, dubbed "the motherf***ing playlist."

The playlist includes a generous total of 20 tracks, including a collaboration with Kim Petras and Jay Park. "Excited for u guys to hear things, but in the meantime, checkout my updated motherfucking future playlist at the link in my bio and make sure u play it start to finish SUPER LOUD!!!! 👌💞✨🗝", she concluded her caption for the photo in her teaser.

'Can't wait to hear it'

Charli XCX's post drew a ton of likes, including one from Paramore's Hayley Williams. Meanwhile, fans are in a meltdown over her teaser, with many sharing their excitement in the comments section. "A DUO of queens" said a fan while another wrote in all caps, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS OMG." One fan commented, "This can’t get out my head."

One fan is also hoping it will all come together as a full-length LP, saying, "COLLAB ALBUM?? we won!"

"AHHHHHH DREAM TEAM," described a fan of the artistic pairing. Another added, "I knew streaming a lot of tove lo this week was a sign!!!! Can’t wait to hear it 😍😍."

Charli XCX and Tove Lo's upcoming music is not the first time the artists have joined forces for collaborative songs. In 2018, Tove Lo dropped a single titled 'Bitches' featuring a mega collaboration of artists including Charli XCX, Icona Pop, Elliphant, and ALMA. The official music video features 'Broad City' actor Paul W. Downs and actress Jessy Hodges as a couple who go to the supergroup for training on how to heat up their sex life. In the clip, we see the couple being applied with BDSM accessories, before being educated with various sex tips and the singers putting the couple in a cage to take a break to eat sushi takeout.
