Netflix is set to take the viewers on an emotional journey with its upcoming movie ‘Plus/Minus’ featuring Lili Reinhart in the lead role. The movie chronicles the journey of a young woman named Natalie, whose life, diverges into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her Texas hometown, the other in which she moves to LA to pursue her career.

The upcoming project will see Reinhart playing two different versions of the character Natalie. The film will also shed a light on how a young adult navigates through life and how she rediscovers herself by experiencing so many heartbreaks.

Reinhart has been one of the prominent names in the entertainment industry and nabbed all the attention with her impeccable acting in the blockbuster hit series ‘Riverdale’. It will be interesting to see how she plays the role of a young mother in the upcoming movie.

Release date

Currently, there is no official release date for the movie. However, there are reports that the makers might start filming the project in the second half of 2021.

Plot

The official synopsis reads: “On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie's life diverges into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her Texas hometown, the other in which she moves to LA to pursue her career. In both journeys throughout her twenties, Natalie experiences life-changing love, devastating heartbreak, and rediscovers herself.”

Cast

Lili Reinhart 

Born on September 13, 1996, Lili Pauline Reinhart started her acting career at the age of 14 and made her debut appearance on the TV series ‘Scientastic’. She also made a guest appearance on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. Later that year, she also made her feature film debut with ‘Lilith’.



 



In 2014, she gained prominence with her role as Heather in the TV series ‘Surviving Jack’. The show turned out to be a success for her and earned her universal acclaim. Two years later, Reinhart was cast as Betty Cooper on the television show ‘Riverdale’. The show proved to be a turning point in her career and took her popularity to a whole new level.

Her first major studio film was ‘Hustlers’, where she starred opposite Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu, and followed that with a starring role in Amazon romance ‘Chemical Hearts’, which she also executive produced.

Creators

The movie is being helmed by Wanuri Kahiu, who was behind the popular Kenyan romance ‘Rafiki’. April Prosser will be writing the screenplay for the upcoming movie. Meanwhile, Bryan Unkeless, Eric Newman, and Jessica Malanaphy will be producing the movie.

Reinhart and Alyssa Rodrigues will serve as executive producers.
