LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Players’, directed by Trish Sie, has generated a buzz owing to the pairing of Gina Rodriguez and Tom Ellis. Written by Whit Anderson, the film has the tagline, 'Love is a Team Sport.'

Starring Tom Ellis, Gina Rodriguez, Liza Koshy, Damon Wayans Jr, Joel Courtney, and Marin Hinkle, ‘Players’ is a fun contemporary love tale with unexpected twists and turns.

Rodriguez takes on the pivotal role of sportswriter Mack and Ellis plays the role of handsome British war correspondent Nick.

What happens between Mack and Nick?

During the first half of the movie, the captivating chemistry between Rodriguez (Mack) and Ellis (Nick) grabs all the attention. During the climax, it is evident that they are not made for each other.

At one Gala for their local newspaper, Nick wins an award and Mack supports him. Soon Mack realizes that Nick is not the one for him.

Mack requested Nick to read her article, which she intended to submit for a feature. However, Nick had entirely reworked the article, leading to the breakup of the couple.

Who does Mack end up with in 'Players'?

In 'Players', Damon Wayans Jr takes on the pivotal role of Adam, Mack’s best friend. Adam asks Mack to submit her article to the head but she informs him that Nick has completely rewritten the article.

This is the moment when Mack's relationships with Adam and Nick are challenged.

After the gala event, Mack heads back to Nick’s house and decides to ask him about the article. After an argument, she breaks up with him and starts missing Adam.

At a bar, Adam’s ex-girlfriend says that they broke up because Adam is actually in love with Mack. Mack is in shock, but her friends inform her that Adam has been in love with her since their college days.

In the end, Mack proposes to Adam in a very special spot outside of the stadium they both love. Mack does end up with Adam, her best friend since their college days. In the last frame of the film, they are seen together.
