Bachelor Nation alums Peter Weber and Dustin Kendrick slammed as 'misogynists' for dissing Nate Mitchell's ex
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Ever since reports of'The Bachelorette' star Nate Mitchell's alleged cheating on his ex and keeping his daughter a secret from her emerged, HIs image took a huge hit. The once fan-favorite contestant quickly became a social pariah. But amidst all the backlash that Nate has been receiving from fans, he received support from none other than former 'Bachelor' Peter Weber and 'The Bachelorette' alum Dustin Kendrick.
Dustin, who has known Nate for years, took to his podcast 'Bachelors in the City' to clear the air about his friend Nate. In the process of defending Nate's decision to hide the information of his daughter from his ex, and seeing other women while he was still with his ex, Pete and Dustin ended up coming across as "misogynists" according to fans. Dustin vigorously defended his friend by pointing out how his ex was a "party girl" and he didn't want to bring her around his daughter. He also claimed that the couple wasn't in a serious relationship. Pilot Pete too chimed in by pointing out how these rumors being spread by his ex were tarnishing Nate's image and sabotaging any chances of him being the next bachelor. Pete claimed America would be missing out by not having Nate as the next bachelor.

'Bachelors in the City' podcast hosts Peter Weber and Dustin Kendrick slammed as 'misogynists'
After hearing the duo defending Nate's actions by referring to his ex as a 'party girl', 'The Bachelorette' fans were taken aback. Several fans took to the podcast's Instagram page to call out Pete and Dustin for their misogynistic views. A user commented, "Wait? What? “You don’t owe a hookup anything” (??)" "This episode gave me the ick. trying to clear Nate’s name by saying you’re friends with him, then outing yourself as a misogynist isn’t the PR move you think it is," wrote a user. Another user added, "The way the misogyny jumped out tho." "The misogyny is real," echoed a user.
Another user pointed out, "Women are worthy of respect whether they’re club rats or don’t leave the couch. please stop regurgitating these misogynistic ideas that harm and endanger women." "😂 I could care less about reality Steve, but your podcast was like listening to a spoiled child have a temper tantrum. Way to take the high road while defending your friends behavior. Looks good on ya 😘," mocked a user. "Misogyny is alive and well people. What even constitutes as a party girl? That’s such a bullsh*t excuse to excuse Nate two-timing two women. This wasn’t a month fling, this was over a year of someone’s time. Very low low IQ podcast!" declared a user.
'The Bachelorette' Season 19 airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
