'Pennyworth' Season 2 Full Cast List: Jack Bannon, Paloma Faith, Ben Aldridge and others returning for next chapter
The second half of the highly-popular TV series 'Pennyworth' is set to return on EPIX on March 7, 2021. The next chapter will revolve around Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon) running a black-market club in London as the country goes into a civil war. Pennyworth is looking to flee London before the country burns itself to the ground and he has set his eyes on America. With the country going into a civil war, it will be interesting to see how it will affect the lives of various characters such as Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), Martha Kane (Emma Paetz), and others.
The series will bring back Bannon, Aldridge, and Paetz in their respective roles while Simon Manyonda will join the cast as Lucius Fox.

Jack Bannon as Alfred Pennyworth
Born on March 24, 1991, Jack Bannon is an English actor who started his professional career as a stage actor. Despite being turned down for drama school on two occasions he landed his role on the TV series ‘Endeavour’ in 2013. However, he gained prominence for his role as Christopher Morcom in the Oscar-nominated movie ‘The Imitation Game’ in 2014.
‘Fury’, ‘Ripper Street’, ‘Clique’ and ‘Medici’ are some of the projects he has worked on.
Emma Paetz as Martha Kane
Emma Paetz is relatively new in the entertainment industry. Despite making her debut in the 2005 movie ‘Selling Innocence’, Paetz had to wait for a long time to make it big in Hollywood. Her stint as Martha Kane in ‘Pennyworth’ took her popularity to a whole new level and is considered to be one of the most well-written characters on the show.
All eyes will be on her when the series returns for the 'next chapter’.
Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne
Born on November 12, 1985, as Benjamin Charles Aldridge, the English actor graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 2008, Aldridge made his television debut in the four-part miniseries ‘The Devil's Whore’, playing Harry Fanshawe, husband of the title character.
In 2013, Aldridge starred in the theatre production of ‘American Psycho’ as Paul Owen, opposite Matt Smith, Susannah Fielding, Jonathan Bailey and Lucie Jones. Meanwhile, in 2014, Aldridge appeared on The CW series titled ‘Reign’ as King Antoine of Navarre.
In June 2020, Aldridge revealed that he is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Dorothy Atkinson as Marry Pennyworth
Dorothy was born and grew up in Nottinghamshire as Caroline Dorothy Atkinson. She has been a part of the entertainment industry since 1997 and made her acting debut in the 1991 TV series ‘London’s Burning’. On the other hand, she made her film debut in the 1997 film ‘Keep the Aspidistra Flying’.
The star appeared in a plethora of projects between 2003 and 2013, but her moment of glory came in 2014 with the movie ‘Mr. Turner’. She portrayed the character of Hannah Darby in the movie and went on to receive a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) in 2014. She was also nominated in the Best Actress category at the National Film Awards (UK) for her acting in the project.
Simon Manyonda as Lucius Fox
Manyonda is known for his cameo appearances in TV shows like ‘Whitechapel’, ‘Holby City’, ‘Suspects’ and ‘Doctor Who’. However, he gained prominence after appearing on the critically-acclaimed series ‘His Dark Materials’ alongside James McAvoy, Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott and Simone Kirby.
He is of South African and Zimbabwean descent.
Paloma Faith as Bet Sykes
Born on July 21, 1981, Paloma Faith Blomfield is a musician-turned-actress who achieved a lot of success through her singing career in the late 2000s. Her debut album ‘Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?’ garnered acclaim from the critics as well as the listeners. The album made the musician earn her first BRIT Award nomination in 2010. She is a certified double platinum musician in the UK.
In 2016, she also appeared on the reality singing show ‘The Voice UK’ as a coach/judge.
Jason Flemyng as Lord James Harwood
The award-winning actor from London needs no introduction and is a household name in the United Kingdom. Flemyng is the son of Scottish television and film director Gordon Flemyng. In the 1980s, he was involved with the National Youth Theatre and acted in a lot of theatre productions. His first film appearance was in the 1994 version of ‘The Jungle Book’.
In 2008, he acted in the movie ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ along with Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Mahershala Ali, Jared Harris, Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond, and Elias Koteas. The actor was praised for his acting and also got nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture accolade at the Screen Actors Guild awards in 2009. Meanwhile, in 2011, he appeared in the movie ‘X Men: First Class’ as Azazel, a fictional supervillain appearing in comic books published by Marvel. Recently, he was seen in the TV series ‘A Christmas Carol’ based on the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens.
