They get rid of their security escorts and sneak into Stormcloud’s laboratory. The group manages to secure the bio-weapon and move to make their exit. However, Salt figures out that there is something wrong and all four men are captured before they can escape the building. Salt asks Alfred to join the Union, but he refuses. But he has someone who might be able to persuade him in joining the league: his father, Arthur (Ian Puleston-Davies).

A confrontation begins between the father and son. Alfred refuses to join the union as Arthur requests some privacy with his son. Arthur softly tells his son that he wants to see his wife and Alfred’s mother Mary (Dorothy Atkinson) once again. Surprisingly, Arthur doesn’t try to recruit him and says that he has a weapon in his pocket that can be used to kill the guards. Alfred takes the weapon and kills every guard present in the room.

Will the war end or it has just begun?

The group has finally secured the deadly bio-weapon. However, Salt won’t let them get away so easily. He and the Union will try anything and everything to reclaim the weapon. It is one of the most dangerous things to have in your possession. Irrespective of who has it, if it is used, it will instantly kill everyone who comes in contact with it.

Alfred and co now have to make sure that no one from their side tries to manhandle the dangerous weapon. If they do that, it can pose danger to all the people living in England. Also, it will be interesting to see if Arthur really is with the good guys. It might be possible that Arthur might backstab Alfred and the entire group for making Union’s plan of using Stormcloud successful.

The finale will surely have a lot of thrilling sequences and quite possibly, a befitting end. Fans would be hoping for the Pennyworth family to reunite and start a new life in the USA. But, it won’t be easy.

‘Pennyworth’ returns to EPIX with Season 2 finale on Sunday, April 11.
