'Penn & Teller: Try This At Home' will air on Monday, May 18, 2020

The iconic duo of Penn and Teller, who have wowed audiences with their unique fusion of comedy and magic, is returning to television this month. Every time that the duo got on screen together, they created magic, especially on shows such as 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' and 'Penn & Teller: Bullshit!'.

Now they are returning to our screens at dire times like this and that is probably all we need to feel some respite. 

Here is everything you need to know about the special.

'Penn & Teller: Try This At Home' will air on Monday, May 18, 2020. 

Plot

According to the official synopsis of The CW special, "Filmed entirely at the homes of Penn & Teller and their friends around the world, the special showcases new magic Penn & Teller and their magician friends have developed at home and teaches viewers how to do an array of tricks themselves."

The magician, actor and author is best known for his work with his fellow magician Teller. Together, the duo has been featured in numerous stage and television shows, such as 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' and 'Penn & Teller: Bullshit!', the documentary television series that aired on the premium cable channel Showtime through 2003-2010, and through which the duo became advocates of scientific scepticism and libertarianism.

The magician, illusionist, writer, actor, painter, and film director is known to not speak during his performances. He is an atheist and a fellow of the Cato Institute, a free-market libertarian think tank that also lists Jillette as a fellow. 

This time around, it won't be just the two of them. They will be joined by celebrity guests including Elle and Dakota Fanning, Michael Carbonaro and Shin Lim.

Where to watch

The one-hour special 'Penn & Teller: Try This At Home' will air on Monday, May 18, 2020, from 8-9 pm on The CW network. 

The special will be followed by an original episode of 'Roswell, New Mexico'.
