Lord John Grey has always had Jamie Fraser's back with their friendship dating back to season 2. He fell in love with Jamie and Claire Fraser found that out too.
The promo trailer released for Outlander's upcoming episode titled 'If Not For Hope,' features a return of a fan favorite character Lord John Grey (David Berry). He is heard telling Brianna Randall Fraser (Sophie Skelton); "Sometimes people do the wrong things for the right reason." This gives us a lot to think about and what to expect from his return at a time when he is very much needed by the new Fraser in the 17th century.
