NOT PITCH PERFECT!: Brittany Snow files for divorce from Tyler Stanaland 4 months after separation
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland’s marriage is officially on the way to its end. The ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress has filed for divorce from her professional surfer husband, with whom she has been married since March 2020. The pair announced their engagement in February 2019, and Snow had taken to Instagram to announce her separation from her husband in September last year. The actress has cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split.
People reports that the pair have a prenup, which will make the split of their properties as seamless and amicable as possible. Snow has also called for Stanaland to split attorney fees for the duration of the divorce proceedings. The pair’s separation came in the form of a joint statement on Instagram, where the paid had stated that their decision to separate had come with ‘love and mutual respect’ for each other.

"After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate," wrote Snow. "This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives." She then went on to add, "We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter."
Multiple reports have stated that the marital discord had begun when Stanaland had revealed that one of his ‘Selling the OC’ co-stars had attempted to kiss him off the camera. An insider in the know reports that being on the show was the ‘last straw’ that ‘broke them.’ "Brittany never wanted Tyler on the show but he was adamant," the source said. "He wanted to make a name for himself on his own terms." Another insider said, "They're fully over. All of the girls [on the show] are obsessed with him. He's been trying to be really respectful but it's taken a toll on his marriage 100 percent."
It would seem that Stanaland was quick to move on from the split as well, with the actor being spotted with his co-star Alex Hall the day of his separation announcement. The pair were spotted on a sushi date where they packed on the PDA - he was also spotted sniffing Hall at some point.
