Normani took to Twitter to tease her upcoming album and ask for fan opinions on potential collabs. Here's what fans had to say

Normani is finally gearing for the release of her debut studio album. While the 'Motivation' singer is yet to reveal a release date, she has confirmed her solo debut project is in the works and is even asking fans who they would like to see her collaborate with.

Normani took to Twitter (February 4) to tease her upcoming album and ask for fan opinions on potential collabs. "What collaborations are y’all wanting to hear on this album?" she asked on Twitter, adding, "curious."

It didn't take long for fans to hop onto her post to frantically reply and her tweet nearly has 15,000 comments already. It's also received approximately 2,300 retweets, 4,900 quote tweets, and 41,000 likes from the time of writing this article. Confirmation of a solo debut is massive and the tweet's numbers are growing fast.

Speaking of collaborators for Normani songs, it's no challenge to think of numerous names that would make for epic musical partners with the R&B star. Fans have responded with several perfect potentials. One of the most popular replies is a fan chanting Lauren Jauregui in all caps. Jauregui and Normani were former bandmates in pop girl group Fifth Harmony before the group disbanded, so some fans want to see something different.

One excited fan went to the extent of putting several pictures together of some singers, including Ciara, Janelle Monáe, Keke Palmer, Tinashe. "Can we discuss this in a cover interview??" the fan asked to which another responded with a picture of Rihanna and saying, "Oh this would be sickening."

"Chloe x halle, victoria monét, bree runway, tinashe, dua lipa," said another fan while another suggested a popular K-pop girl group: "LOONA is a twelve-member girl group under BlockBerryCreative. From Oct 2016 until June 2018, each member of the group was revealed along with a solo single album and a music video with subunits being introduced as members are revealed. Listen to star now!"

Another interesting collaboration that some fans are suggesting is with a Brazillian singer, Iza. "THIS GIRL HER NAME IS @IzaReal a brazilian queen," wrote a fan.

Meanwhile, one fan is just happy to hear confirmation of an album, saying, "We been waiting on you to say “album” for so long idk what to do with myself."

As noted, it has been a long wait since fans got a chance to listen to new Normani music. She has released several singles but their releases have been pretty sparse. Her latest single was a collab with Megan Thee Stallion, which is titled 'Diamonds' and was released in January last year. The year 2019 saw Normani releasing two singles, namely 'Motivation' and 'Dancing with a Stranger' featuring Sam Smith. Her only sizable project is her 2018 collaborative debut EP, 'Normani x Calvin Harris'.
