NO REGRETS: Cardi B shares first close-up flaunting adorable face tattoo of son Wave's name
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Cardi B got a face tattoo and she totally loves it. The 30-year-old 'WAP' rapper posted the first close-up photo of the tattoo, which has the name of her one-year-old son Wave, on Twitter on Thursday, March 2. The tattoo was inked on her jaw in red. "I love my face tatt," the hitmaker who got the tattoo last year wrote in the caption, alongside a red heart emoji.
The image she posted on Twitter was from a recent campaign she and her husband Offset, 31, participated in for the fast food chain McDonald's. Cardi looked elegant in the photo as she was all groomed in a lovely halter-neck white gown with crystal accents and had her long hair neatly pulled back into an updo, revealing her tattoo. The celebrity made the decision to expand her already big tattoo collection last year.

Getting inked on the jaw
The musician was earlier seen getting a tattoo on the side of her jaw in a video that tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos uploaded on Instagram. "Today's work Cardi B," he captioned the video clip in Spanish. Santos also posted a selfie of the two of them that partially displayed Cardi's new look. The new body art garnered mixed reviews from fans in the comments, with some cautioning that getting a face tattoo is never a smart idea. Others, however, supported her decision. One supporter said, "Her body her choice y'all buggin', and what she does doesn't even touch your everyday existence."
Cardi, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, admitted to considering getting her son Wave's name tattooed back in January. "Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!" she wrote in a tweet at the time, and shared that she wanted the new tattoo on her jaw.

Cardi's extensive collection of tattoos
Migos rapper Offset and Cardi share four-year-old Kulture and Wave together. Offset got a permanent tattoo of their daughter's name on his jawline, which may have been the inspiration for Cardi to get one too.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2017, also has a matching tattoo of their wedding date on each of their hands. Cardi already has an extensive collection of ink on her body, featuring a very colorful peacock and butterfly design going all the way from her thigh to her ribcage. The Bronx native also has a massive floral back tattoo that features bright flowers, butterflies, and a hummingbird, in an array of colors including various tones of purple, orange, blue, red, yellow, and green, among others.
