'A spiritual journey': Cardi B grateful for 15-day community service, says it changed her outlook on life
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Cardi B is quite grateful to be given community service and the ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer claims it has completely changed her outlook towards life. She revealed this week on her social media about starting 15 days of community service, which is after reaching a plea deal in a 2018 strip club fight in Queens, New York. "Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me. Almost like a spiritual journey because sometimes I leave these centers in tears," she said.
"Those people that we leave behind they just need somebody to talk and a lil push and YOU might be able to change their life forever," added Cardi. She was also in news a few weeks back after her antics alongwith husband Offset at the Pre-Grammy Gala red carpet. The couple indulged in an unbridled PDA in front of the cameras. The clip quickly went viral and garnered disgust, reported MEAWW.

"Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it's a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I've made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to," Cardi said at the time in a statement. The ‘I Do’ singer further added, "These moments don't define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I'm looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — the music and my fans." She tweeted on Friday, February 24, “My brains are burning from waking up early ,community service then studio….but I did the crime “I only have myself to blame.”
What was the case against Cardi B?
The court case comes from a Brawl back in August 2018, when she allegedly ordered an attack on two bartenders the rapper believed were having an affair with her husband Offset. The 30-year-old was able to get rid of 10 charges against her but pleaded guilty in September to two misdemeanor charges of assault in the third degree and reckless engagement. The mother of two, agreed to three-year order of protection from the women involved in the fight, and a slate of community service duty. Cardi B has extended her community service deadline to March 1, which expired last month, as per People report.
